I have white chocolate bars instead of melts and I was just going to add food gel to them, would this still work?

Yes, but white chocolate likes to seize up when you add color to it, I would suggest using oil based food coloring if you add color to white chocolate bars. Good Luck!

The cake looks amazing. I want to make a similar cake. Do you know if I can use whipped cream frosting instead of buttercream and will the Lego pieces stick to the whipped cream. Thank you

Just stick them straight to the buttercream. 😃
