Success with Silicone Molds

I recently made a LEGO-themed birthday cake that required that I create the famous bricks. To easily fabricate them, I opted to use Wilton Candy Melts and a silicone mold. After frustrating trial and error, I turned to the internet for some tips and tricks.
Unfortunately for me, none were to be found specifically addressing how to perfectly form the LEGO bricks in the silicone mold. Fortunately for you, I've created this KZbin tutorial to ensure that YOU have success in making these cute little bricks the first time around. Enjoy!

Thank you for having this video! This is my first time working with candy melts and I’m trying to do a lego cake for my sons 5th birthday. But the bricks kept coming out like your white ones! I will be giving it another go tomorrow and definitely using your tips!

I have also. I’ve only used them for drips and have mixed the candy melts with hot heavy cream- perfect drip. But with using them as a mold, follow the heating instructions on the bag (trust me) and then this video- perfect molds 👍🏼👍🏼 I realize this comment is kinda old but I hope you’ve had better luck with melting candy melts!

I’ve stopped using this brand completely! I believe they’ve reformulated and not for the better. I’ve been using the brand that’s available at Michaels for the last few years. 😉
