I use the same technique for the escape room games I am making. We have a "cheat" built into each puzzle to auto solve it. Helps a lot when you want to skip towards the end for testing and saves a lot of time. Thanks Mike for the great content!

Very clever, I admit that I use hard coding, not that I didn't know the Editor menu, I just hadn't thought about it before lol ... Awesome dude, as usual :)

Sometimes it's quicker to hardcode, but if it's something you'll be doing over and over again then this way is massively beneficial. I just have a bad experience with releasing a mobile game about 6 years ago which started the player with 1 million coins 🤦♂️

Thanks dude. Really appreciate it, just reading over comments makes it worth while when you see the realisation that someone's learned something

WOW, this is a game changer during the testing process. I'm glad you mentioned about setting a location for the player. This in itself is going to save me tons of time trying to get to a certain location to test a game item. Thanks again for all that you do.

Yes great tutorial as always. One thing to note that the top folder item cannot have spaces in the name. [MenuItem("My MenuI tem/Do Something")] will not work, while [MenuItem("MyMenuItem/Do Something")] will.
@comp3interactive3 жыл бұрын
Aah I didn't know that, I must have inadvertently always used a single word as my parent menu name. Good to know!
