For those of you who are interested (and use Ableton). You can download my Ableton template I used in this video on my website at: www.davnak.com/samplepacks

This is HUGE, great job! You addressed some things I’ve ran into myself and explained it flawlessly.

Thank you! I should probably get around to recording a follow-up/updated version at some point lol.

Half solution to the lack of multi track audio recording would be to hard pan your tracks in the opZ. For example, all four drum tracks to the left and synths to the right. 100%. That way you could use two separated inputs in ableton. Thank you for the video!

This is true! However, I reason I’ve never used this method or mentioned it is because I really like preserving the stereo aspects of my tracks. Glad the video could be of help!

Can you share your Ableton kit in a download? Not sure if that's possible, but the way you have it setup looks pretty slick.
@Davnak4 жыл бұрын
Yup! I plan on doing it later in the week.

@@Davnak Awesome! I make take a stab at following your instructions here to build it myself, but I don't have OCD and it's going to be all messy!

How did you connect op-z via usb with sound, I don't have op-z to the audio input device
@Davnak2 жыл бұрын
When you plug your OP-Z to your computer via USB, it will show up as a sound card option inside any DAW. You can then rout it from there inside your DAW.

@@Davnak Thanks, I solved the problem, I had to start the sound, turn it on in the recording department op-z synthesizer

@@angryfrog9646 hey man, i got the same problem I haven’t OP-Z in my audio device and I don’t know How to solve that. If you can help me that could be very cool 🙏🏼
@unimatrix00 Жыл бұрын
@@Smoozhie In case you haven't figured out how to fix this issue and for others, for some strange reason one of the OP-Z's audio ins is disabled to begin with. In Windows 10 type in the search by the start button "sound" and it should come up with Sound Settings. From here you're going to want to open the Sound Control Panel, it's accessible on the right of the window under "Related Settings". In the new window review the devices under both tabs, if one of the OP-Z inputs is disabled you're going to want to enable it. To do this double click on the device and another new window will open, at the bottom of that window change "Device Usage" to "Use This Device (enabled)". You should now be able to go into Ableton's settings and select the OP-Z as an input audio device.

Why my midi chord (ch) track can’t be recorded? Others are normal
@Davnak3 жыл бұрын
Could be a number of reasons. The first one I'd look into is to make sure the chord channel is set to midi channel 8 and that the input in your DAW is also set to 8 (it can be any channel, they just have to match). It should also be noted that it won't record the midi data if the channel is muted.
