I tried this DIY for my little boy, who has severe arthritis in both hind legs, and sadly it didn't work well. He's almost 16 years old and has reached the stage he needs 24/7 care, so I have to put him down, and it's killing me to think about doing so. I'm missing her terribly already and feel so bad for what she's going through. Carrying her in a sling so she can go outside for a while. On her feet, she just spins in circles. This is very helpful! My dog just had TPLO surgery. I wasn’t sure where to place the sling on his abdomen so this is helpful. My vet said to just put it under him in the event he falls or needs help getting up 1 small step but to let him put weight on the alternate leg. So I plan to try this! Oh and this is the best video 😆 I laughed when the cat & dog started to play in the bag! 😂 And then when the dogs started rough housing! 😂

We thought the same thing with our black lab. Vet put him on Arthritis medicine and Gabapentin. This along with Dasuquin made him back to his old self in about a week. I though the worst at first also with how he was acting

You can use an old long towel to slip underneath their bodies to help lift the dog's rear end or to help them to walk. Just grip both ends of the towel and lift the dog---forming a sling.. If the towel gets wet then pop in the wash.

My poor dog jumped up on the stairs and her back legs didnt make it dislocating her hip. We had her at the vet in 8 minutes flat. Now she is in a sling and this helped out so much. Thank you. I will definitely try this. My almost 9 year old german shepherd has a very difficult time using his back legs. He drags them, and sometimes will sit and drag his whole bottom. It is very sad for me to watch, and I really want to help him.

My 10 year old black lab has rear leg weakness. Bought a Sling on amazon that worked great until the Gabapentin and arthritis meds kicked in. Also Dasuquin has worked wonders. Dog would not move and now he is back to his normal self

My dog is 20 years old I she had a walk in wheelchairs why borrowed from my friend several years back and then she did great with it. She was able to strengthen your legs again and and she didn’t need any more. I gave it back to them, and I lost touch with a man, but now my dog had a stroke again, and She’s alive and I’m kidding. She’s doing well but she didn’t. She’s so depressed because she can’t walk anymore and I need it and I need to strengthen her legs again by walking her but I got to make a swing for a Chihuahua that weighs a Chihuahua that weighs 8 pounds and she needs help both all four legs and him. Please help me any ideas I can’t afford to buy her walking wheelchair. I want to get her when I love you so much but I am on disability and I’m just able to not have the money. I wish I could please help me.

I do not agree : the tissu will shrink and be like a rope and will hurt the belly of your dog. The back will not still straight and its a bad position for the dog.

There Seems to be this idea that ALL dogs are female no matter which site I check out!!! Not only that, but rear leg immobility, won't work on this also. I KNOW I don't have the only dog with this condition but noone addresses this issue. Picking up the stomach like that won't help! That's not where the issue lies!
