Okay.. next question lol Can I make a design with thin/flooding royal icing on parchment paper... Let it dry/harden and transfer it to a cupcake?
@wilton Жыл бұрын
We would recommend using a stiff consistency icing for any designs you plan to transfer.

So wait for the thin consistency its 1/2 tsp water for every 1/2 cup? Or you have to start out with 1/2 cup icing and 1/2 tsp water? I dont know if that made any sense but im kind of confused

so the thickest icing- Will it dry hard where it can't easily be smushed at room temp?
@wilton10 ай бұрын
It will dry at room temperature, but it can take several hours, especially if it is thicker.

If you want your thinned down icing colored, do you color it before or after you add the water?
@joshhadwiger93905 жыл бұрын
Julie Tolman im not sure as i dont really have any experience in royal icing but if your using gel food coloring it shouldnt affect the consistency that much but if youre using liquid food coloring than that would probably the case.

Great informative video. Can you use lemon juice instead of water?
@wilton6 жыл бұрын
I haven't tried this with lemon juice, but it might make your royal icing very tart. I would suggest testing this out first. Happy experimenting! -Robin
