The lamp might look neat if you cut some shapes out of the shade. Or even scratched the concrete down maybe. That way some light could peak out.

Yeah, that could be cool! I saw a picture of a concrete lampshade that looked like it was crumbling once and thought it was awesome, but when i tried to make my own it turned out way too heavy and more on the crumbly side than i was hoping for xD

I think it would be cool to try to make outdoor furniture with this method. If you could coat wood pieces that are as detailed as the lamp with concrete, you could get a Secret Garden vibe for a 1/3 of the price 😍

love love loved this video. I was so surprised when I saw in the stage videos at the end that the lamp worked still. Definitely going to try this DIY! Seems like a great way to upcycle dead thrift store pieces easily, but with great results.

You should get some artist spray paint caps. You use spray paint a bit and getting a “fat cap” would help get an even well saturated cover

try using “cal” (i think it’s called lime in english) gives the same texture lf stoney surface and you can add pigment to the mix
