I love my juice jelly it’s so good and easy just takes a lot of sugar! Good for Christmas gifts idea. The flavors are endless too 🥰

I kind of did the samething, but I cooked the applejuice with a pound of chopped peppers, when peppers were good and cooked, I added the sugar and sure-gel, when that got boiling I added 2 pounds of store bought bacon bit's, when that got boiling I put it in jar's

Dawn, in the past I have stayed away from making jelly. Jelly, jams, and preserves were always my moms specialty so neither me or my brother or the daughter in laws infringed in moms domain if you will. As kids we used to pick the wild grapes and berries and press them our self. I still have moms fruit press and it still works. However, moms gone now and I could use some home made jelly on my shelf so I think it's time. I have plenty of jars, juice, and sugar on hand so all I need to do is pick up a couple of boxes of sure jell and just do it. Thanks for the inspiration to revive home made jelly. Have a great day and thank you. 💖

Love it!! Did your little button top jars seal? I did an experiment with some of my leftover jars with the button tops and used Ball lids~they all sealed! I wouldn't pressure can with them, but if times got bad I'd sure use them if I had nothing else. Good video, thanks! God bless. ~Laura
@DoubleDHomestead2 жыл бұрын
Thank you Laura. Yes ma’am they sealed. I’m like you, if times get really bad I’ll be using them can. I save all my glass jars and lids anymore because of how crazy things are. Have a wonderful blessed day buddy 😊

@@DoubleDHomestead My husband started to throw away a glass jar awhile ago and I told him no, that I love jars!! He said I can tell, then I pointed to all those throwaway jars on my shelf with dehydrated corn, peas, spices, and so forth in them...... He got it then. I don't throw them away either, and I'm the girl who washes out baggies and saves scrap paper too....but don't tell anybody. They might think I'm a hoarder..... 😄

@@kentuckyhome6637 😂🤣😂. Your not a hoarder, you’re frugal 😊. I wash my baggies out too 😂. Glass jars are so useful. Good interception with your hubby 😂👍👍

What size Sure-Jell did you use? I used the regular size and it’s runny and never set up. But I went back and watched your video and your jar looks runny not set up also at the end
