I'm more annoyed by only choosing 2 affixes. I have: 54 Flowers with Both Crit Rate/DMG on them. 71 Feathers with Both Crit Rate/DMG on them. 54 Sands with both Crit Rate/DMG on them 35 Goblets with both Crit Rate/DMG on them. 29 Crit Rate Circlets And 34 Crit Damage Criclets. This does NOT include the dozens upon dozens of +0 artifacts I have with at least Crit Rate or Crit DMG, that would/could roll the other Crit stats on them. So basically, I already over hundreds of artifacts with both Crit stats in the substats. I have all Elemental Goblets with BOTH Crit Stats on them. I don't need the option to add two affixes I want.... only to have the rolls go into the other two affixes. I need to be able to choose all 4 affixes and which of those affixes get upgraded when I level up the artifacts. The trade off? I wouldn't care if they only did this once a year for us. Once a year, let us create out EXACT!!!! Artifact we want.

Will probably be useful early on for newer characters with useless artifacts if you choose to use it for those but yeah, for end game, like you said it changes nothing. Instead of getting one goblet of the set you want, with the main stat you want, with the substats you want every 1-3 months (depending on weight), you might get one every 1-2 months instead. Genshin is primarily a casual game and the vast majority of players are credit card swiping mobile gamers so I doubt the majority of the player base cares about this.

Thanks for the quick guide and clear voice. As for the gadget itself... I thought that we couldn't possibly get something even less useful than the crystalfly trap. I was wrong. Let's ignore the 1 craftable elixir per cycle for f2p players, the insanely long cooldown and the fact that rng can still ruin the artifact during level-up. The thing that really bothers me is the grinding necessary to even get a sanctifying elixir. Earn spare 5 star artifacts, grind for low level artifacts to use as fodder. That's a lot of effort and time invested, with the very real possibility that it might just not be worth it. Also I'd like to point out that the regular 5 star artifacts come with 3-4 substats, not 2. Which makes aquiring the proper set of substats much more likely than the outcomes of the transmuter. Now if the transmuter would let us define and create an artifact with all 4 substats, it could be worth all the trouble. But not as it is.

I honestly believe that they should do the Sanctifying Elixir cycle once every week or two weeks instead of months. On one hand, it'll give players a reason to grind artifacts to meet the 100 limit to get the elixir and not have to wait as long. And on the other, it'll give returning players the motivation to grind 5 star artifacts to make their own to build the characters they left in the dust.

Basically, this is just a "yes one good artifact for my 1 main character," in which the possibility of upgrading it can still be bad. Overall, this isn't meant to be the main solution to obtain your preferred artifacts. And i believe you can get an entire excellent artifact set by farming, then trying to get a good full artifact set from this new gadget.

Even if you choose two substrates it’s still possible to roll def every time. And with the massive cooldown you can only get 8 elixirs a year. So, for a f2p player it can still take years to build a character. This gadget is worthless… I would have been more than happy if I had to input 10 5 star artifacts per elixir over this.

1 5* artifact at level 4 = 4 points. So 10 5* artifacts at only a level four would be 40points so you’d still be under what you need for an elixir currently. Also as mentioned in the vid you’ll get them from other ways with open world exploration. Also this was never meant to be a way to build a character but more a supplemental stop gap for an artifact if you *really* needed it. Basic artifact farming will always be a better bet.

At first I was a little pissed off how backhanded this is. The fact it wants you to get rid of leveled artifacts for an elixir that even when optimized will probably still level into That defense stat that anyone who grinds artifacts will know Is going to pop up in that random stat. Theeeen I got to thinking…. Artifact grinding is literally all I do during the off days in the game as well as the on periods of the game. So if it was easy to grind stuff I’d really have nothing to do, because most side quests are not stimulating enough lol. It would take away the good feeling I get when I pull something amazing

Tbh I really just want the ability to reroll stats on an upgraded artifact. For instance of you had s good artifact with say 3/4 useful substats, but everything unfortunately went into the wrong substat, I'd like to use a resource to force an entire redistribution. It could still be random even. That way i don't have to keep upgrading artifacts and trashing ones thst had the roght substats but rolled poorly. It makes the process way more straightforward instead of hearing holding onto s bunch of artifacts to upgrade and repeatedly upgrading and dumping them because they usually randomly roll into bad stats.

I left at cycle as right now it’s a patch length but things can change and it literally has a count down timer for how long the “cycle” has left on the interfaces.

Farm my ass off pass 3 weeks to get 4 elexir and got a goblet with base 2,5 cr and 5,2 cd lol never doing this sh again, after level up it became 6 cr and 10 cd btw genshin fr could never change

And remember that it can still roll into a stat you don't want... perhaps this would be better if you could use an elixir to add a preferred 4th stat on a 3 substat artifact... At least you could avoid flat defense... I hope Mihoyo doesn't think this is what being generous looks like...

Honestly... it seemed too good to be true. Okay, so you need to go through more than 30 runs, level them up to level 4 and then put it in there, to get ONE elixir. ONE. Not even enough for all artifacts. Anything with a main stat costs more than 1 elixir. That means for one sands artifact for example you'd need DOUBLE the work, to not even have a guarantee of a good artifact (getting 2 substats and 2 bad flat stats and it rolling 80% on flat stat makes it terrible). Sure, you can get one from the battle pass (my F2P account cries) and some other ways, but I feel like to get one artifact that's actually good it would take longer than just doing the strongboxes. Is it even worth it at that point?

​@Astyler it's not worth for endgame, you sacrifice so much artifact xp and mora just to get a MAYBE decent artifact. if it guaranteed rolls into the substats you picked then it would be amazing, but it doesn't. 160 days for 3 Stat starting to roll Def% and flat def as 4th stat. then upgrading gets 4x rolls into either def Stat. no thanks

I've been farming since arlechinno came i could get crit dmg artifacts from the set so now i cant use random pyro dmg% from any artifacts except from the same set and now i need 160days+ for that to happen🙂

Honestly, this shits ass, u really want me to believe "oh yeah, just wait half a year to get a goblet" brother in christ, we'll be over with the natlan story quest before u get a goblet that'll roll all in flat hp and defense. I thought it was gonna be like a massive game changer sort of like "pity for artifacts" but genshin is still genshin.
