Suzy OMG!!! These are amazing!! I’m Australian and my father-n-law is Egyptian. He, along with my husband, kids and family were very impressed! You saved my life ❤️ I have made them before, with another recipe, but they fell apart. For anybody attempting these, I did it without the baking powder/sesame seeds and they were still beautifully moist and to die for!!!!! Make sure you strain them and dry in a big tea towel before blending. And they will fall apart if you don’t refrigerate in balls before frying I put them in the fridge for 1 hour 🙏❤️🙏

We live in Greenwich Village.... The best Falafel on the planet is at Mamoun's a block from Washington Square Park... Family owned for around 100 years, same place. same recipe, always amazing! Go there, cash only!!! LOL! I am making my own fresh today. Soaked my Garbanzo overnight. 12 hours. Nice video young lady, The Mediterranean Dish. I may just add a little bit of ingredients from this video to liven it up.

A long time lover of falafel I've read many different recipes and eggs, flour, dried parsley/garlic and canned chickpeas just do not make authentic falafel. I'm glad people at least are trying, experimenting and using what they have at least, to each their own, I'm in no way a foodie snob but this recipe works for me. Thank you!

For the past few weeks, I have been searching through tons of videos, trying to find the most authentic falafel recipe. I was so happy when I found yours. I totally believed you when you said that your recipe is the real deal. I made them today and they taste exactly like the ones I get when I eat out. They were absolutely delicious and so simple to make. I will never go out for falafels again! I'm looking forward to trying out your other recipes. Thank you so much😁💗

This is the first time I have made falafels. I remember living in NYC in the 80s and the 90s and the street vendors used to sell them and BOY! they were so good. Well, these taste just like those back then. I added more spices and seasonings, but what really helped tne mixture to adhere is a small amount of water while blendi g in the food processor.😊

James De Ricco - what kind of bowl did you soak your chickpeas in? After 26 hours mine are still hard. I've soaked them in a metal big bowl with lots of water and baking soda. Any suggestions? Thanks
@jamesdericco38173 жыл бұрын
@@sylviacarlson3561 I soaked mine in a large stainless steel pan (with high sides) for less than 24 hours with salt and baking soda. They did not become as soft as they would when cooked, but that's okay: my blender was able to process them anyway and the falafels came out great. Maybe your food processor or blender can handle the hard soaked chickpeas anyway?
