I have the same truck. The same smoker. Making the same wings. Only difference is I’m a BEARS! Fan. Thanks for the videos. Always entertaining.

I appreciate your video, just bought one of these GMG's (the Daniel Boone) at a flea market for $30. Never had a pellet smoker, I thought I was going to make a charcoal grill out of it. With further research and trying it out, it has wifi, it works so I liked your intro when you pulled the beer out, my thoughts too. For football, it doesn't matter who's playing as long as it's on. Watch 'em all. Tweeting at 14:40, you should put a TV swivel in your garrage or on a tree that's what I did , back your pickup truck up, grill 'em, and watch the ballgame or some sort of sports while you're waiting lol I plan on cooking some wings this weekend, thanks for a great video. GO GATORS :-)

Nice presentation on the workings of the GMG. I wish you would've spent a little time on how you accessed the power source for the tailgate cook though. It looks like the grill works great, and thanks for showing folks the value of removing the wing tips to save space. Not bad for a Browns fan. lol....... please let us see the ease/pain of powering up the GMG in the parking lot. Thanks a lot!

+boredinPA Thanks for stopping by and checking out my video! I actually did talk about it... but it ended up on the cutting room floor unfortunately. Here is what you need to know, the power cord on the Davy Crockett is a two ended car accessory plug. In order to plug into AC power you need the AC pack, so by design the grill is meant to be plugged into car. Also, GMG gives you both the AC pack, and a battery clip adapter with the grill. So if you had say a spare deep cycle battery you could take that and the grill out into the woods say to a cabin, and clip directly to the battery and run. Lastly, the power cord is super long. You wouldn't have an issue with a fully 8' bed and a full crew cab. I hope that helps! not that the Steelers have needed much help lately =(.... Have a great day!

Good video. Just got one of these. First pellet grill. All the Davy Crockett vids were kinda useless. Just wanted to see grill in use. I see there's not a ton of smoke when using these. For some reason I thought there would be a lot more smoke. Similar to weber charcoal grill.

+B_K_BBQ you ever do a vid on the hot and cold side of the grill. I can tell left side runs not as hot. I'm a Chiefs by the way. I feel ur pain. Felt like we won Super Bowl last year after our first playoff win in 23 years.

Nice! Little victories add up to big ones... Cavs 2016! BTW: This will help add smoke : amzn.to/29BLThV You can see it in action in my Chicken griller video. A lot of Pellet owners use it to supplement smoke in the pellet smoker. Yes, I have a video planned for Left Right temp issues. I haven't bought the solution yet thus no video. But go on Facebook and search Don Goodie's Downdraft, this should solve your issues.

+No Hippie BBQ & Cooking Those wings were gone in about 3 minutes when I got to my in-laws house! The Davy Crockett has been good so far, I'm going to have some videos coming this summer with me using it at our camper.

You don't need to vacuum out the wood dust every time. Maybe once every 5 smokes is plenty.
@HillCreekBarbecue8 жыл бұрын
+TheDstein58 Thanks for providing that info. If you see my first video, mine leaves a very large amount of ash directly in the fire pot even after a proper shutdown sequence.
