I have watched SO MANY videos on making bias tape and always wasted so much fabric because they never worked for me. NOBODY has ever mentioned that you need to join the first line with the second line on the other side 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️always say join the lines. Hi again, I just re-watched your video and a thought occurred to me. Because the sewn tube is "off set"at the start and because I don't think my scissors are as sharp as yours, cutting this on my serger would be fast and easy. Naturally, I'd need to remove the needle thread/s. I'm getting ready to upholster three Bergere chairs and I'll need lots and lots of piping. What would I do without KZbin??

Yes, you could certainly use a serger to cut!

Probably not without a lot of starch; spandex really won't hold pressing lines.

Seems like alot to make bias tape. This must be the most precise way to do it. At the very beginning to make the square, how do you know what part of the fabric to make that square? If that makes sense. Un other words where is the selvage ect. Idk grain lines.

This is the easiest way to sew the fewest number of seams for a long length. At the beginning, one side of the square is parallel to the selvage and one is perpendicular.
