Pretty anemic and wimpy tbh. I guess if you think Children of Boredom or Arch Enemy are brutal then sure. If you're talking rough and tough recent death metal and aren't even mentioning Crucifier, Angelcorpse, or Unaussprechlichen Kulten, I'm not sure we would have any musical tastes in common whatsoever. Let me guess your favorite Slayer album - something from the 90s - or worse yet, 2000s? Lol

The explanation was a bit short. War metal was originally refering to the melting pot of all extreme metal, so a mix of death, black, thrash, and hardcore punk
@illomened9 күн бұрын
Nice! Can you please share settings for that guitar tone.
@denudenovsky10 күн бұрын
Funny thing is you laid down such a good instrumental it would be a real good OG DM track if the drums were bit more groovy and dynamic. ;)
@Mordakahl7 күн бұрын
I am scratching my head for real here. I thought blackened death was like mid era Deicide, basically death metal fat guitar tones with a lot of tremolo picking and minor scales melodics, more diverse drumm beats. While Black/Death kinda early Amon/Deicide can guitars also be a bit low tuned but less bassy, and the whole structure is more raw influenced from Black metal with a lot of blast beats. So Black/Death has more BM in itself than blackened death. But in the end we can only speak for specific eras and places, nowadays everything is already mix gulasch anyway.
