When measuring at the start, use a stick and a string. A marker on the end of the string will easily trace an even line. ;)

Really cool idea man. I like your idea of adding some grip-tape for texture.

Wouldn't your fingers get caught in the finger holes when you fall?

Bryce Williams possibly if you pick a bowling ball with really small finger holes. This one has huge holes so it hasn’t been a problem.

That is really cool but I don't think it's gonna be so fun when you fall and your fingers and still inside

I highly doubt that the particles from sawing the ball in half is good to breathe in so for your sake use some kind of protection, and don't let the dog go in there sniffing up plastic... But still cool idea, i wouldn't use the half with the holes just for falling reasons but hey thats just me! A+ for effort!

One day someone will forget the fingers all the way in and break them on the way down ...

Surely buying climbing holds is cheaper than buying a bowling ball?
@kirkearl9 жыл бұрын
THERESAPARTYINMYHEAD A quality, polyurethane climbing hold that size is around $20-50. Thrift store, used bowling ball, less than $5.

One of the worst climbing ideas I've ever seen.

Stephen Doran thanks for the comment. It’s been up for years now with no problems. It’s a popular thing to do that I’ve seen on a few other home walls too. As long as you don’t chose a kid’s ball with small finger holes there is no worry. It’s a super fun hold.
