My kids start eating these creole bread made with coconut milk as soon as they come out the oven!
Serve this coconut bread warm with butter, a slice of cheese and a nice cup of black tea is like serving a piece of home (Belize) away from home on a plate!
Enjoy!
Recipe:
6 cups sifted all purpose flour
2 tablespoons white sugar
1 1/2 tablespoons instant yeast
2 large eggs
6 tablespoons soften Vegetable Shortening
or Butter
1 3/4 cups coconut milk (warm) DO NOT use hot milk to proof yeast
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
Glaze:
4 tablespoon melted butter
