This builder has obviously had some experience in making "stuff" from scratch and I must hand it to him, he has done a pretty good job of making something out of basically salvaged items. The advice to all you naysayers, go build one yourself and document its build on KZbin so we can see what you got. I have built a few budget buggies that have trounced high dollar rigs, I appreciate this builder. I do agree with the commentators, ditch the music, and tell us what kind of trans you are using and give us some basic dimensions. Keep up the good work and share some details.

Thats an awesome buggy. Im really aurprised by the build myself. With how well the small engine performed when paired with a transmission Great job

depends, if you are a professional craft-man, you can manage to craft something out of scratch that was supposed to be bought...

That is some seriously funky Mad Max engineering and craftsmanship but it did give me the idea to put a cheap V-Twin air-cooled engine in my Volkswagen bug I never would have thought of
@michaelmartinez13453 жыл бұрын
This is awesome!!! Sensible power, reliable inexpensive engine, the transaxle & clutch will easily handle the power of that engine, many parts CAN be bought at many auto parts stores... Reasonable performance and a complete engine replacement will cost no more than $450 for a completely new 420 cc unit... I really like the low CG of this vehicle, as it has much less tendency to roll on hard turns... After this experiment is worked out, the creator has a real potential to sell the plans and parts to build them... It probably won't win races with a machine that somebody paid more than $25k. on, but how important is that anyway... It will provide safe, fun and reliable OHV use, that will probably go as far, if not further than much more expen$I've machines... Beautiful / simple and effective design work!!!

I would've used the Predator v twin with a full build! You've inspired me to go back to welding again! Hitting Harbor Freight this week for a new mask and rods!😃👊

The cool thing about this is its universal you can use litterally any engine of your choice.
@michaelmartinez13453 жыл бұрын
So many people are sold on engines that produce the highest Horsepower ratings... This video has shown that relatively low HP ratings could effectively power a vehicle as the TORQUE the engine produces at lower RPM's is actually more useful, without having to rev the engine more than 2,500 RPM... Coupled with a sturdy transmission and engine, like this was, this vehicle actually became extremely effective!!!

I have to say that looks like a great buggy love the way you did it.

Very nice very cool to see only a 17 horse can be powered that way with a gearbox and have enough power to move that size buggy that's very cool
@Tommysmess4 жыл бұрын
You could put a 420 predator engine in it. They come with only 13hp from the factory or harbor freight, but the aftermarket for them is huge you could totally have it cammed out with billlet parts n easily push around 30 hp

Looks awesome, very resourceful in what you have come up with .The only real thing I would address is the seating position,I would try to get the seat pan a little lower so your head isn’t above the cage and a little safer if you roll it over.

Man I want to split a late 90s Polaris 4x4 quad front to back and in the middle then merry the pieces to a skidoo tunnel making a 4x4 buggy then I have a built Rotax outta my sled electric fans and just a cool buggy that’s 4x4. Polaris is chain drive front and back so would be a cheap east project.
