wow this is the real essential basic theory of correct baking. Oven rack level , tempurature for different material pans , ingredients temperature , I never bought cake baking strip just to make cake level flat it's just oven rack people... if you know this you can bake beautiful products but most people forgot to think about it or worse they have never learned, too busy following fancy , picture perfect video that talk a lot to keep you engage then show the end result for good camera angle . I'm a new fan now thank you so much for teaching real essential techniques.

Just want to say I have two 14 year old boys and I 100% agree. One of my boys had no clue how to make a cup of tea and I felt terrible. One has had NO home economics lessons and one has had a couple cooking lessons, but health and safety means they don't have enough qualified teachers to manage the classes. It's so wrong. They have had mandatory religious education for years, studying Islam and Christianity mostly. Ok that's fine but they don't need it for FOUR YEARS unless they plan to take GCSE's in them (exams at 16 and 18). Home Ec. lessons to me aren't just practical but improve quality of life. I mean who doesn't want to share a flat(apartment) with friends who can bake a cake or make Sunday lunch? Everyone that's who!! It's good for their social skills and future relationships imho!

This has been the most informative video uI have watched about the cake making. Understanding the science of everything , starting with the leveling of your oven. Who would have thought all those external things would have impact on your cake baking skills? I have been at baking for a while, but lately have been disappointed with a few recipes that were were either not enough batter for my standard 8 inch cake. I am very meticulous around the ingredients, measurements and pan size etc..I am now more than ever wanting to try this again and provide my feedback. Hopefully I’ll have a few tries and will share the measurements in grams if I am able to get the same results. There’s so much in this video, that people need to understand. 3 minutes tutorial videos can only give you that much of information. I watched this already 3 times for the full length and it’s like getting additional information every time.

You are a GREAT teacher. You answer my questions. You tell us why you use salt, sifting, temperature of ingredients, etc. The oven part is so important because I tested my oven and it was not level nor calibrated correctly. Your teaching is very easy to follow. You have inspired me to strive for perfection. Thank You. God Bless You
