Love the video! Just this week I watched someone who was using a lot of water so she put a puppy pad down then put the paper on it because it immediately absorbs it away from the paper and turns it into a gel allowing her to really work the paper but not have it just sitting in puddles of water. Thought I'd share hoping it helps others, I just thought it was the best idea and couldn't believe I never thought of it!😂 Good thing we have geniuses and an art community to share these great things. I wish I remembered where I saw it, it could be because it's 3 a.m. and I'm knackered out. 😂😊

I sooooo love collage papers, but it ends out that I rarely use them!!😅 ah, well, you know, enjoying the making is what counts!🤪 I used to make some with oven paper (baking sheets), the brownish kraft color ones, when I had a more neutral palette. It was very interesting, I was using it with coffee and tea paint, the result were super nice...but I changed style a bit! Anyways, thanks again for an other video, boosting the creative in me! I would love to see you use these on large canvas😃!

Another lovely video; your calm and curious demeanor makes for a very welcoming atmosphere. Wet-strength tissue paper has revolutionized my mixed media practice. I'm a big fan of the stuff but it's hard to find in North America, and I use archival tissue paper and deli paper as a fair stand-in. I do make my own collage papers! It's so much fun. Lately, my favourite way has been to lay out a big sheet of plastic (a garbage bin bag) and put a piece of tissue paper on it (crumpled or not), then I spray it with water and drop in drips of ink and paint. Really splash it around. I let it dry and then peel it off the plastic. Very satisfying. Your blue paint at 11:55 is beautiful. Would you mind sharing the approximate ratios of colours you used to create this shade? If not, I understand as this is your artwork afterall. Thank you for all that you share.

Thanks so much, Apple! A garbage bin bag is a great idea! Probably even better than the freezer paper. Splashing around sounds very tempting 😄 Difficult to say the exact ratios, cause i don't remember exactly 😄. It's mixed from phtalo blue, magenta, yellow oxide and white. Is there any alternative papers other than wet strength tissue paper for collage? Haven’t tried Canson marker papers, I wonder if its good for collage. I have not found strength wet tissue paper in my local art shop, but thank you for the amazon link❤

I use marker paper too. It's great cause it's quite thin. You can use any paper really, but thinner paper obviously doesn't add too much bulk to your painting. You can also use normal tissue paper, you just need to be a bit more careful so it doesn't tear.

In one of my upcoming videos I'll show how I add a piece to a canvas. I realised I should have shown how to apply them in this video really... I basically add a layer of gloss medium, then the collage piece, and then more medium on top. The moisture of the medium turns the tissue paper transparent.

Could you put a dry sheet on the freezer paper after you’ve removed the wet tissue, to use up the seep through? Like you were doing with the gelli plate.
