Great How to get started in Brine Video. It reminds me of when we were cuttin open totes and plumbing up pumps and PVC in my Buddys backyard 4 years ago. Things were simple then.

Great video, you perfectly told me what I needed to know . The 101 Dalmation reference is legit. haha you’re def good people. I also appreciate you guys pointing out to not run gas powered equipment indoors. It might not seem like a big deal but I know someone watching didn’t know but do now.

I use to use a trolling motor with about 40lbs of thrust or however they measure it until I came up with my new system!

Just trying to cut overhead so Is this brine good for seasoning chicken 🐔??? Asking for a friend
@dantekeskin15124 жыл бұрын
If you do this again I would do the holes on the opposite side where they spray up so it keeps the brine recirculating instead just spraying it into the tote!

if you guy want to try it any ways i bought a used washing machine and it worked great for making smaller patches of brine !

In Missouri we use beet juice, works really good, last a lot longer when its colder outside, also with beet juice you should not have to plow anything under 3 inches it won't stick
@abovebeyondlawncare46285 жыл бұрын
Ethan Ketterman where do you purchase beet juice in a large quantity?
@ethanketterman83635 жыл бұрын
@@abovebeyondlawncare4628 CPI road solutions, the sell by the semi and also by the tote. Most common rate is 80% salt brine to 20% beet juice, some people use 70/30, mix, just depends on the situation and the area you are in

This IBG majic is kind of similar to beet juice in the fact that it sticks to road and helps melt snow I believe (I could be wrong) it’s the sugars in it that help melt snow
@brianfettig115 жыл бұрын
beet juice,Minnesota is trying it out,it gets you to -20,salt brine/calcium chloride/beet juice

This is a similar (and I think less expensive) alternative to beet juice with similar properties
@SledgeHammer435 жыл бұрын
You probably sprayed less than 1/2 of what was recommended to pretreat. IBG is a great additive to prewet salt too.

What is the name and brand of the brown liquid De-Icer ?
@chriso21305 жыл бұрын
You need warmer water. Your solution has reached equilibrium already therefore it won’t fully dissolve all of the salt. You can only dissolve soo much sugar in iced tea before it starts building up on the bottom of your cup.

Use a cheap sump pump with a 1 1/2" discharge to make your brine. It will turn the water faster and broke down the salt. Also try adding only half the salt first and mix that then add rest.
@CarsonSchifsky5 жыл бұрын
I think adding water while mixing would help big time too

The amount of salt in the tote doesnt matter as long as you reach 23.3% I use 2 toet system load 1000 pluss pounds in top and keep discharging when it reaches 23% your always going to have leftover salt on this system for a small pump just stick the 1" line in the tote takes me 8hrs to make 3k gallons
@CarsonSchifsky5 жыл бұрын
So the “left over salt” in the bottom isn’t a issue?
@colefink37825 жыл бұрын
@@CarsonSchifsky not if your salinity is at the right percent it would be considered excess, waist or used in the next batch. The brine would be pumped to storage to insure it keeps its salinity the same. It would take a long time to disolve every single grain to a perfect ratio.
