Mix Chicken, Corn Starch, Sugar, Light Soy Sauce, Grapeseed Oil, Water. Let it sit for about ten minutes. Scramble two Eggs in Grapeseed oil (not too hard). (Set aside) Cook Chicken. (Set aside) In a clean pan, heat up a little Grapeseed oil, add rice and Mixed Vegetables and mix for about ten minutes. Add Chicken, Sea Salt, Sugar, Black Pepper, Light Soy Sauce, Dark Soy Sauce, a little bit of Fish Sauce and mix until the color is even. Add Eggs, Bean Sprouts and Scallions. Jasmine rice works the best by far and even better if it's sits in the fridge over night. I also use MSG instead of sugar. I find that Fish Sauce or Oyster Sauce is fine. I don't use Bean Sprouts. This is a fantastic recipe for me.

Everyone's complaining about the sugar in a plate of fried rice. If you travel to asia, sugar is actually very common in a savory dish.

Things I personally do differently, is go in with 1 tbsp soy sauce, and 1/2 tbsp of sesame oil, or 1 1/2 tbsp fish sauce. I also skip the dark soy sauce. Definitely go the sugar route. You DON’T need MSG. 1 tsp of sugar will get you right. I go in with 2 cloves of garlic, and some onion also.

I hope people don't think there is one specific way to make fried rice. If you trace fried rice all the way back to it's origins, it was made from whatever people had leftover. NEVER feel like there's only one way to make things, everyone's method is different and ever method is delicious in it's own way. Notice, there are more recipes for fried rice on her website, so don't feel you have to use everything you seen in the video, but she gave us all a very good example or base to begin experimenting with fried rice. My advice, use what you have leftover, before it goes bad. That is all.

SometimesTurtle+ No, but you are obviously a complete fuckwit. Finding it very difficult to *Hearrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr* what someone with a thick accent is saying, over the LOUD ass sound of rice frying, has absolutely Nuuuuuuuuthing to do with intelligence. But the failure to understand why someone might find it difficult to do so is *definitely* tied to a lack of it. Congratulations, dumb ass.....

wait what? a SUGAR?
@siegfried6928 жыл бұрын
Yep, I used sugar too in my fried rice. Seasoning reasons. I assure you it's real, and its okay to do so.
@wlkjhgfdsa8 жыл бұрын
yes but not a ton of it on fried rice all that sugar?
@hoodjonjon17 жыл бұрын
The sugar balances the soy sauce saltiness and makes the rice better

+Joe Djoenaedi I don't think you understood my comment. I said the person in the video said they were using grape seed oil not olive oil. I was correcting the person who claimed the video creator said olive oil.

+britney pham there are some quick dishes that olive oil CAN be used in,, but peanut oil is one of the most preferred cooking oils for true Chinese cooking! I know,, my fiance is from Nanning, China,,,!
