When I learned about these 5-6 years ago I planted them, 4 bushes, and this is my second year making jam. When they first fruited, I added them to smoothies, now theres so many!

I am making choke/blueberry jam. I added ginger and some Lemon zest and lemon juice. So yummy. O.S, you can add monk fruit or stevia instead of sugar, if you are a diabetic. I substituted sugar for Agave syrup and monkfruit.

It's darn tasty. I do also add a handful or berries to my smoothie in the morning to add more nutrients.

Here is the recipe 5 cups of fresh black chokeberries • 1 1/2 cups water • 600 grams of sugar • 2 tbsp lemon juice Rinse the berries well and boil them with water for 20-30 min. Add sugar and lemon juice and let the jam boil until thickened, about 10 minutes. Remove pot off the stove Pour the hot jam into warm and disinfected glass jar

@@joeboudreault2226 yes they are aronia berries also known as chokeberries as a berry they only have seeds. If you do not like the seeds you can always strain them.
