Wow! This is spooky, I just made some of these yesterday for the first time ever and my family is begging me for more but I kept saying no, cause I can't handle the time it takes for the dough to rise, then rise again etc, so this is perfect timing, thank you so very much:)

I see. As a USA resident I am required to be totally ignorant of the rest of the world's geography. I thought everyone in OZ were neighbors. I am reminded of the scene in 'Fiddler On The Roof' where one future immigrant says he is going to New York and another says he is going to Chicago and the first man says 'we will be neighbors'. I am sure you get this as in other parts of the world people actually know what a globe is! You both are so fun to watch! Thanks!

.. you can use regular milk if you add a tablespoon of lemon juice or vinegar (per one cup of milk) as well, it the same as using buttermilk then :)

Hi! what's the difference between this and the yeast version beside the proofing time? How does the texture compare?
@CookingwithKarma11 жыл бұрын
.. the texture of these is denser, not as light and fluffy as with the addition of yeast, but still equally as yummy! :)

Hi karma.. the best part-the yeast doesn't try ur patience in this recipe.l.o.l. but im not sure about the texture. I like them light &fluffy. Can these be made while incorporating yeast that can be baked directly? ? (Just to get that texture)

you can add white vinegar or lemon juice to milk to make your own buttermilk... 1 tablespoon vinegar or lemon juice per 1 cup of milk. Let it sit for a few minutes and you will have buttermilk!
@CookingwithKarma11 жыл бұрын
.. if at first you don't succeed, try try again! :)

I think I'd end up sitting there with the bowl of glaze just dipping my cinnamon rolls right in. And likely I'd eat all of them in one sitting cause I'm just awful like that!

Just add some lemon juice or vinegar to your milk, let it sit for a bit and then you have buttermilk!

Are you sure, that I need a whole cup of milk on 3 cups flour? This gives me a "cake batter", which is not solid enough, so I can not coast it with the rolling pin. :|
