My mother advised to me to put a small amount of water so that I can get the oil faster, like a half of glass of water but depends on how many coconuts (and the size) you have for example I'll make eight coconuts into coconut oil and I put 2 glasses of water.

And does the oil come out faster with the water?

It is more likely the coconut milk boils faster if you put a small amount of water, and then you get the oil faster. Because the water just drain(not the exact word) and the coconut oil only left in the pan

I want to ask if you look the tides time before you making coconut oil? Hehe. Well here traditionally if you finished making coconut oil in high tide you get a larger amount of coconut oil than in low tide. I don't know if it makes sense but yeah..

Please check out video on how to extract coconut cream. Getting the cream directly that way, you don't need a fridge. The reason for the fridge is to separate the cream from the milk
