Coffee buns/papparoti/Rotiboy/Mexican Coffeys buns are buns with a coffee butter cookie crust on top.
Coffee buns tastes lightly sweet and they are mildly flavored with coffee.
We will need only a few ingredients to make this coffee buns and as we use one rise method of proofing, we can make these coffee buns/Papparoti/Rotiboy in less than 2 and half hours.
How to make coffee buns/Papparoti/Rotiboy
The method of making this Coffee buns is very very simple.
We can make them in five simple steps.
1.Prepare the dough as how we prepare for soft dinner rolls or soft yeast rolls.
2.Stuff it with butter and then divide and shape just as we do for soft dinner rolls or soft yeast rolls.
3.Proof the rolls
4.Pipe the buns with coffee topping
5.Bake the buns
350F for 20-22 minutes.
The coffee topping will melt down in the oven and will form a shell over the buns.
Th Baking time and duration is just as we do for dinner rolls or yeast rolls.

Bincy, hi. I made these and added a small variation. Instead of filling the buns only with butter, I made smaller sized cubes of butter and dark chocolate and stuffed those. They look good! I never have any yeast! 🍞🍣🍩🍮🍰🎂🍘🍵☕ I have never baked with yeast before? 😲 I just make a quick sour dough with self rising flour & Greek yogurt! Mix together and spray pan! Cook on 350° Till golden brown! You can also make this out of a pizza 🍕... 😃
