Solid refined coconut oil 1/3rd cup (melted in warm water until liquid) Quarter cup plus 2 tablespoon olive oil Half teaspoon of sea salt 2 teaspoon cornstarch 1 teaspoon of cider vinegar Blend all until creamy and then blend in coconut oil (due to cornstarch needing to emulsify first). Blend for a couple minutes until thick and frothy.

A little turmeric powder adds a nice yellowish tinge also and adds it's own health benefits! Adding a couple tablespoons of almond meal/almond flour (if you have no nut allergies), instead of the cornstarch avoids digestive issues. This recipe doesn't cook the cornstarch which isn't good for your stonsch and can gice people digestive issues...

This is as delicious as dairy butter. I'm using this to saute veggies for vegan stuffing for Thanksgiving.

i think i would use kuzu root ( just powder it) instead of the corn starch....

Oh my gosh that’s amazing Amanda! It looks so creamy and spreadable! 😍 I am definitely keen to make this, you are so clever! And it would be so fun as well to add different things, like garlic, chilli flakes, oregano or what have you! Thanks so much for sharing ❤️

Thank you so much! I love shredding radishes and mixing them up with some "butter" to spread on toast or a cracker (can be GF) with flaky sea salt. It's a French trick I learned a few years ago and I am obsessed! Herbs would be delicious too.

It lacks some soy milk to get the emulsion and texture of butter as well as cooking of the cornstarch

I only just came to find your channel. haha you are the sweetest. Your dancing every time you blend. I appreciate this very simple recipe! FINALLY. When I create in the kitchen I always go for simplicity & health. My partner loves (vegan) butter, but store bought is full of oils that aren't great and most butters I have come across on youtube are so complicated to make and require SO MUCH OIL. I probably could have come up with that recipe myself haha. I will try it out :)

Nice, interesting recipe, but just note cornstarch or corn flour should NOT be consumed without cooking first. I would warm it up in a pan with the milk first whisking it in with a small amount of milk added first, then added to the rest of the milk in the pan to avoidd lumps! Then, ince cooled, proceed with recipe. Just a suggestion. I wouldn't eat this raw, it could give you digestive issues.

Can arrow root powder be a nice replacement? And be eaten raw?
@j.w8680 Жыл бұрын
@@patriciacolon5188 It has similar properties, but doesn't need to be cooked for as long. Do simmer it, say in a nut/other milk-base first before proceeding with a recipe, but this can be added more at the end of the cooking process, whereas it is recommended that cornstarch/cornflour be cooked thoroughly. Arrowroot is nutitious, too, but some of it's nutrition will of course be cooked off. It can be a great substitute for cornstarch as once cooked, the sauce can be frozen for later use & is also a good choice for any mix/sauce containing acidic ingredients (such as tomatoes).
