Thank you for posting this. I’ve looked at other KZbin recipes for this but all the other doughs looked runny and not quite right. Your version is the most authentic and the closest to what I know as coconut bread. Can’t wait to make this!

Hi, if using a scale there are grams as well as pounds and ounces. 4 1/2 or 4.5 ounces in weight or 130 grams will be roughly the same as 4 1/2 fl oz in cup measurement or 133ml melted butter. Hope this helps

Hi Kay maybe it is not the tradition in your circle but I assure you my sweetbread is lovely and taste great. Who can say it must not include eggs or it must? I am sure there are many different versions of Caribbean Sweetbread, I do not expect that every Caribbean family, on every island would have made their sweetbread exactly as I make mine.
