My haircare routine is always changing, and I filmed this long enough ago that I don't remember exactly what I would've used. Likely one of my shampoo bars and one of my conditioner bars + a mousse I probably got at Winners two years ago lol. Thanks for watching!

Hi Marie! Thank you for this wonderful yet simple formulation. I just have one question: Why did you put the cationic guar gum in the oil phase? Does this help with stability?

Hi Marie! This looks divine! I've been dying to make a conditioner and your formulations never dissapoint. Question: In the blog post you say you can substitute BTMS 50 for BTMS 25. But, how do you feel about BTMS-80? I know its not a common ingredient, but I happen to have a bunch of it. The INCI is BTMS+Isopropyl alcohol. Would the substitution be 1:1? Or would you put less BTMS and more cetyl alcohol! Thanks again!
@HumblebeeAndMe3 жыл бұрын
Hmm. I'd use less as it'll be 80% active (vs. 25% as used in this formulation), and include some more cetyl alcohol to make up for the loss of thickening :) Happy making!

Beautiful product Marie! I love everything you make, it's thoughtful and detailed. Your ingredients encyclopedia is incredibly helpful, guys go check that out!!! It's one of my first sources of information :) By the way and out of curiosity, why don't you use that emulsion blender you bought some time ago? I haven't seen that in your videos anymore 🤔 it seemed pretty awesome, right?

Hi Marie :) wow, that looks amazingly gorgeous!! I really like the ingredients, I'd like to use them in a bar version with a very small amount of liquid phase (8 gr or so of, for instance, hydrolized protein). Do you think I could mix BTMS with xantana gum in that case? I know one is cationic while the other is anionic, I was just wondering if in versions that do not imply the use of higher amounts of water that could be feasible. Thanks a lot and cheers :)

Would it possible to formulate a cleansing conditioner bar? 😊 Good luck with the moving process!

I'm so excited! I have psoriasis and my scalp does not like most of the surfactants in shampoo bar. I thought I'd try the cleansing conditioner but I love the idea of a bar. Less waste and plastic. Thanks for all of your hard work!
