bait worked great! i mixed in some ground up dog food and had bites all night and caught 6, i think it worked more like a chum so i would put a worm on the hook and the dough bait, had my own little feeding area that was bringing fish in to eat! Thanks kris

Great recipe. I will try it this spring. I have had decent luck with bran flakes, orange soda, red pepper and a little garlic salt all mixed into a hard paste. Have thrown in some chicken liver blood and black pepper too. Does good on cats and carp and it manages to stay on the treble hook for an hour or more.

Man, thanks for referring me to this older video of yours, Kris! I think you posted it before I even knew you. This is a great recipe using catfish food as the basis. It will work on my pond I'm sure. They know exactly when the feeder goes off, and they congregate around it. They eat on the surface voraciously. So, I just glom this stuff on a hook and toss it out, huh? The only problem is that my fish are on a low-carb diet. Maybe I can use coconut flour! :-) Thanks so much again! I'll try this!

Thanks for sharing your baits and tactics. I use the liquid from the sardines in my baits to help preserve them for as long as 6 months without any mold or mildew. I have also added color and glitter to the baits.

Instead of grinding the fish food I use just enough water to let them soak and soften. Then thicken to dough with white bread torn into little pieces and flour.

hey bro! I use soap to catch channel cats here in Alabama(Ivory, Zote or make my own lye soap and flavor with Anise and Garlic salt) You ever try soap out your way.? Good overnight bait(trotline or limb line) and no other critter will bother the bait...only channel cats. Thx for the video man

Why go through this whole process when there are so many baits out there ready to fish. I seriously doubt that this is any more effective than Whats Already out there....tight lines.

Bassmastr100 No offense taken. The reason for this is simple. This bait targets farm raised fish or fish from hatcheries. If a fish since birth, is fed only one type of food for its entire life, it will look for that food first. You could almost say its programmed to eat that specific food. So by creating a bait made out of the only food they've ever known, your chances of catching them would be much higher.

My guess is he isn’t that good of a cook when it comes to food if he only makes catfish baits
