Fuck yeah dude. Thank you so much. This is now my new project. I have all those skills, and always wanted a loop pedal. Why not make my own :D You have inspired me. Thanks :D And I quite liked the tone of your video too. Decently paced, the videos in the background just added to the story, rather than needing to be narrated itself, and gave a lot of extra information about the build. And you were interesting to listen to :) You gotta learn to solder tho bro!!!! Haha! It will improve the shit out of everything about all those connections. Deffinatly need to solder the stuff user the heatshrink, but I'd also solder the pedal cables directly to the nano. Mine might even have little capacitive touch pads, so I can slide my fingers up and down each pad to change each input pad, to output from 0-255 each midi channel. Rather than foot pedal I'll controll it on a desk or stand, and just spruce up the code a bit to match :p like I said, you have inspired me! Thankyou :)

Hey I was looking for some inspiration on my own build and I definitely found it here! One idea I had was to replace the laptop with a raspberry pie. This may actually be more reliable than the laptop because you can boot right into the software you want. The pi is also smaller and has gpio built in so no need for the Arduino. Also, a battery backup if you are going live would be sweet.

Hello Spencer! I'm completly noob on it, but I definitely wanna do it. My brother made me the same suggestion about the Raspberry Pi... Could you please give more details why exactly it won't need the Arduino? Is it possible to connect the pedals right to the raspberry?
@spencermatousek5452
@spencermatousek5452 4 жыл бұрын
@@JuniorMartins-fb5cw the Arduino was used for interfacing with the pedals. Basically it read high or low from gpio and sent that to the controller with a single line communication protocol. A PC can't do this because it doesn't have any gpio but the pi does have built in gpio

hi not sure if this will work but I made a racing sim setup with an old membrane keyboard and if you solder two wires together onto the board and then solder those wires to a button then open up a notepad you can make the keyboard type letters depending which two solder joints you wired together, Would this not be a much cheaper solution instead of an Arduino you buy an old membrane keyboard and create a bunch of shortcuts on the program for record clear loop etc. just a thought

I have no Idea . when i try it and klick on the Icon with the Keybord logo ther are only numbers under each button but i cant change it. Hi there, I am in the process of building a looper like yours, however I am having difficulty with coding the Arduino Nano. doesn't seem as simple as you say in the video. I have downloaded the Arduino files that you have posted In the description, however it will not load into my nano. Is there some thing that I am missing. Do you have a file that you have already that I can copy and paste into the Arduino so it will all work for the looper.

Hello, yet 1 more question... Is the ardweno code writen specificly for you? Becous its not as simple as routing a button to a single code right? Becous when hitting the mode button the behavoure of your track buttons must change right... Or is that all taken care off when downloading the sonnit software?
@DidItMyself
@DidItMyself 5 жыл бұрын
Inside of the code there is a section to link the button to the specific pin on the Arduino. You can link as many as you need. Every button should have its own pin. Inside of the looping software is where you can link that button to what you want it to do.
