Hooray! I was so glad to see a new CP soap with Anne Marie. I would love to see a video of the desert collection's layered soap. I will have to try mixing elderberry with evergreen. I have the evergreen fragrance oil and it's great!

Hello 👋 I have a question that how can we get good PH in cold process soap after curing? Thanks for all the awesome videos🎉
@bramble-berry Жыл бұрын
As long as you are adding the correct amount of lye for your oils in your recipe your final pH should be around an 8 or 9 which is perfect for handmade soap.

Thank you for this lovely recipe. Is there another mold I can use for this that you sell that is less expensive? I really can't take the leap right now to buy this wooden mold and cavity set you use here. I was thinking of using the Brambleberry Tall 12 Silicone Loaf Mold? Will it fit in this mold? Thanks
@bramble-berry Жыл бұрын
Absolutely, the Tall 12 Silicone Loaf Mold would be great! The recipe can be easily resized to fit the new mold with the lye calculator: www.brambleberry.com/calculator?calcType=lye

Beautiful! Do u ever add to your basic soap batter? Like, oatmeal, clay, aloe, stuff like that? I have a question. A soap maker on KZbin n TikTok she made a soap with apple cider vinegar. How did she do that? U tell us that vinegar neutralizes lye. If that’s the case how can she add it to her soap?
@bramble-berry Жыл бұрын
You absolutely can add those ingredients, we have many recipes where we add colloidal oatmeal, brazillian clays, and aloe liquid to our soap recipes.. Apple Cider Vinegar is normally added at trace or cooked on the stove to remove those volatile ingredients before adding your lye.

Can I use this soap as facial soap?
@bramble-berry Жыл бұрын
Hi! This bar has gentle ingredients like swirl quick mix that are skin loving. You may want to do a little test to make sure your skin likes it before applying it to your face.

Personally I would want to wait until the soap is 5-6 weeks until using. I have used it when the soap was 3 weeks out and it was a little harsh. And yes it had the perfect lye to oil ratio. I used Bramble berry's calculator.

@EthanThomas-th6ps Жыл бұрын
@@carolynpalano9284 What would a water discount do? I followed bramble berry's calculator to the T.
@CalebCalixFernandez Жыл бұрын
@@carolynpalano9284a water discount works for getting the soap harder faster. Water plays no role in the gentleness or harshness of the soap as it's the vehicle that enables the reaction between the lye and the oils.

I am from India, I liked your videos very much, I made soap at home after watching you. But there is a problem in it. Why does cp soap cause eye irritation? And what to do in soap to make it safe for eyes?
@bramble-berry Жыл бұрын
Soap causes irritation to the eyes due to the high pH. We do not have instructions or a recipe for making tear free soaps.
