Thank you for being responsible and not touting the health benefits of this stuff. Can the oils in here help people feel uplifted and more cheerful? Can they help clear sinuses? Absolutely (especially eucalyptus, I love the stuff). But I had a friend once who would ingest a few drops and that scared me; I'm pretty sure essential oils are not meant to be swallowed. No oil will replace washing hands, but it's a nice thing to have around the house for an energetic, complicated, interesting scent, and a bit of relief for minor sniffles. Keep up the great work! :)

Astar this recipe is essentially a copy of Young Living MLM oil. A tragedy if I may say so. I would love to share the authentic formulations of which there are several recipes, and none of them include Eucalyptus which is a tree from your part of the world that the Europeans of the Middle Ages would have never known about or had access to. Multi level marketing is vulgar and has ruined traditional herbalism. One more thing--essential oils were never part of the original recipes which were all whole aromatic plants steeped in vinegar. An authentic and safe recipe for thieves would look like this: Lemon or Orange, Cloves, Thyme, Rosemary sometimes Lavender was part of that. All herbs that Europeans of the period would have been familiar with. Another recipe would have included Wormwood in addition to the other herbs mentioned. Wormwood formulations in particular are of great interest as Wormwood is well known as an insecticide for fleas. Fleas, as you are likely aware, were the carriers of the plague that infected the rats during the Middle Ages. The Wormwood formulations would have been the most effective. Thank you for stating that people should not be trying to use this to kill the virus. However, Young Living multilevel marketing representatives are all over social media promoting this as a cure, I am sorry to report.

posy & kettle may’ve been an excellent idea to drop the rations of use as an excessive amount of wormwood can cause seizures and can also be fatal. We don’t want to report what’s better and include an ingredient that can cause fatalities. That’s very irresponsible.

@@canesugarcreole5788 Again lets be clear on this-- Thieves was whole aromatic plants steeped in vinegar NOT essential oil. Furthermore, Wormwood as one of the herbs steeped in vinegar would not have been dangerous. Many Absinthes still contain small amounts of wormwood. And let's not overstate the case about wormwood--as an insecticide (whole herb strewn or steeped in vinegar and placed on clothes) it poses no danger. Really quite annoying to hear this argument and from the same breath telling other to eat essential oils which is quite common in the MLM essential oil world.
