Engineer here. There's no reason to pay a PhD 6-figs to teach Calc 1 or Thermo 1. Nor is there a good reason why 100-300 students need to all sit one huge room to all learn it together. Watch lectures online, follow along in the book, do the homework, and have a few people available for one-on-one tutoring if they need it.

Electrician here. Theory was good, school was great. However in reality most of the knowledge is learnt on the job. Furthermore, the school was good, imo, however it could be done with some incentives to go to the library and work with others. Something like gamification, it does really help to have the social milieu. Also often little tips from others can save weeks! Government could invest probably less money then they already do creating maps and structures for compiling the knowledge we already have from thousands of years of others... For those that want to get into development of new systems from understanding theory - like engineering. We'd just need some workspaces. We could start with one at landfills - probably the best place for inspiration for designing social systems :) also lots of resources to experiment with! Trash is treasure 😮 building codes, safety codes , etc are legit but the games that come out of that sector is massive retardation of humanities evolution, inclusivity, etc , etc. 😂

The reason the HR ladies want degreed applicants is because it makes their lives easier. Instead of having to judge applicants based on qualifications they themselves don't really understand, they can kind of 'cheat' and assume that the degreed person will do the job better. For instance it's a lot easier on them to look for the word 'degree' then it is to try and understand what makes a good engineer when they themselves don't understand engineering.

This is because department managers got lazy and didn’t want to sort through resumes to find competent employees. So they outsourced the hiring process to HR. But HR is also lazy. So it’s no surprise that the hiring process is so screwed up. This won’t improve until management starts doing its job again.

The amount of money that has been wasted on education pales in comparison to all of the big government programs since the thirties. But add those two together, and the waste is beyond scandalous ! In the case of tax money, that has been confiscated from our paychecks for nearly 100 years, imagine if all of that money had been plowed back onto our economy ! ........ Staggering .....

Peace cannot be through ignorance or deception, peace cannot be forced, enforced or legislated only war can. There is one known workable way to bring peace into physical existence. Living in peace requires an understanding of how to do so. The economic, political and legal system is globalised, our species lives under rule, we are denied peaceful existence and that is not consensual. The men in charge of The Estates and deceptively named Law Society and anyone enabling them are in violation of The Law. They can never win the war against The Law as The Law never changes however their actions and policies have to in order for them to maintain an eternally losing battle. Law is a scientific term not a legal one. Language has been used to trick our species and steal our consent. Being Lawful or that is to say peaceful requires being true by thinking true, speaking true and doing true. Consent is the litmus test of morality and the foundation of morality is The Law. If one intends peace then morality is centred in the inherent duties of the First Protector of The Law. If one intends war then morality is centred in the inherent duties of the First Violation of The Law. the following is a proper explanation of The Law and how that relates: "Most of what we are is non physical, though, our lowest form is physical. All life on our planet has the lowest form, the Body. Our Body is an Animal and the other type of Body on our planet is a Plant. Bodies are bound absolutely to Natural Law, which is the lowest form of true Law. Natural Law is a localised form of Law and is derived from the Laws of Nature. Natural Law is the finite and specific foundational control structure ordering the actions and interactions of species, members of species, and the material sources of a planet. The lowest non physical form of what we are is the Mind, which is a Process. There are other forms of life on our planet that have both a Body and a Mind, however, so far as we currently know, there are no Plants and only some Animals that have a Body and a Mind. The lowest forms of Mind, Instinct and Emotion, are predominantly bound to Natural Law. The next higher form of Mind is Intellect which is bound predominantly to the Laws of Nature. Intuition, the highest form of Mind, can be bound or not to both Natural Law and the Laws of Nature separately or together, or to higher forms of Law altogether. Intuition is the truest guide for our Selves. The next non physical form of what we are is the Self, which is an Awareness. There are relatively few other forms of life on our planet that have a Self. The Self is not bound to any form of Law other than One's Own Law. It is the only form of Law that cannot be violated. The foundation of what we are is the highest non physical form of what we are. The highest form of what we are is the Being, which is an Existence. The Being is not bound to any form of Law originating within Existence. The Being is bound absolutely to The Law. Existence, and the Laws of Nature which are the finite and specific foundational control structure ordering the actions and interactions of all elements within Existence, cannot Be without The Law being The Law. So, what is The Law? In a word, The Law is options. Definition option: a thing that is or may be chosen. The word 'option' does convey the idea of The Law in its most basic sense but does not clarify all of what The Law is. Free Will does describe how our species experiences The Law but does not convey all of what The Law is. In clarifying what The Law is; The capitalised form of the word 'The' indicates the following noun is a specific thing. Law is the finite and specific foundational control structure ordering the actions and interactions of all elements subordinate. Together, the words 'The' and 'Law' (in that exact order,) is a proper noun indicating; the singular form of Law that all other forms of Law and all other Laws are founded upon, the singular foundation upon which Existence is founded, the singular foundation upon which Non Existence is founded, the singular foundation connecting Existence to Non Existence, the concept of options, and Free Will. However one thinks, believes, guesses, hopes, or "knows", whether by a Big Bang, a creation story, a computer program, an expansion of consciousness, or whatever means by which Existence could have come to Be, the option for Existence to not Be also exists. Existence and Non Existence, the original options connected by the very concept of options, connected by The Law. Outside of space and before time. Extra-Existential. As we experience The Law in our Being, The Law is Free Will. The First Protector of The Law is Freely Given Consent. The First Violation of The Law is Theft of Consent." - Goho-tekina Otoko

follow up to first reply: "The 'Estates' are levels of power within the fictional 'realm'. The realm is the make believe world most men and women think they live in. The function of the Estates is to control specific parts of what we all are*. The methods used within one Estate can also be found in other Estates though the application may be different, furthermore, while the Estates each evolved separately over time, they are and have been for centuries, an empire of crowns aligning under one Crown. The First Estate is the the first power base in the realm. The purpose of the First Estate is to control the highest form of what we are by separating us from it and to control the second highest form of what we are by making it subordinate to an intervenor. The highest form of what we are is the Being. The Being is the source of The Law. As The Law cannot be corrupted, it is far easier to make The Law a non issue by adding an intervenor between the second highest form of what we are, the Self, and the highest form, the Being. The intervenor is God. In the abstracted reality of the realm, God is at the top, and everything in the realm is God's creation. While God is away from the realm, or at least absent from the day to day running of the realm, there is a manager set up to manage the realm. The setting of the parameters of what the manager is and is not allowed to do, and where the manager can do or not do those things, in the 'name' and 'body' of God, is the setting up of a trust. (research trust law). The management company which administers the estate is called 'The Church'. The Church is always the Catholic Church. By the reasoning of the leadership of the Church, and as the original meaning of catholic is universal, universally, any form of 'higher power' is taken to be merely another name for God and those who believe in such a differently named God are actually members of the universal Church. Those who do not believe in any form of higher power are taken to be incompetent and necessarily are in need of being taken care of by the management company. The control mechanism is the 'soul'. The soul is a fictional representation of the Being, however, where the Being is clearly beyond the judgement of any entity in any existence, the fictional soul is subordinate to the judgement of God. The Self, and subsequently, the Mind and the Body, now separated from the Being, are subject to God's management company, the Church, and the policies, as interpreted by the Church, established to manage the estate. The Church uses a divide and conquer policy and the first place it is used is the matter of life and death. The policy follows the general idea that while alive, the Self is one's highest form and after death, the Soul is the highest form, though the application may differ from religion to religion. While the First Estate, cantered in Vatican City, has managed generally to control the realm by controlling the Self (separated from the Being), the lowest non physical form of what we are has proven far more problematic to control. The Church, in recognizing that the Mind is both a strength and a weakness, established a Second Estate, a subordinate management company, to focus on controlling the Mind of Man. The management company for the Second Estate is called the 'Nobility'. While the Church was able to control the Self through abstract and vague imagery, the Nobility had a much harder task at setting up the policies to control the Mind. As it is well known, the Mind is an escape artist and is notoriously hard to control or contain. To keep a Mind which thrives on infinite possibilities under control required a mechanism which seems to have infinite possibilities built in. Like the fictional Soul used by the Church being subordinate to God, whichever construct the Nobility created had to be subordinate also to a higher power. The Market is the mechanism which manages the Mind by keeping it distracted with its near infinite possibilities. The 'higher power' of the Second Estate also works to keep the Mind busy by offering near infinite possibilities. The 'higher power' of the Second Estate is the legal system. In the same way the market has permeated the fictional realm, so has the legal system. Through the First Estate and the Second Estate, centered in the City of London, the control over the non physical forms of what we are was mostly complete, however, as is obvious to most, the control is not perfect. In an attempt to control the physical, and lowest form of what we are, a Third Estate was established subordinate to both the Second Estate and the First Estate. The management company for the Third Estate is collectively, the Government, and is centered in Washington, District of Columbia. The policies set up for managing the Third Estate are, of the three fictional Estates so far, the hardest to ignore as those policies are acted upon the Body by men and women that are acting in fiction. The First, Second, and Third Estates, and the policies which ensure those Estates, have interwoven, changed and grown throughout history so as to cover almost every aspect of the experience which is our existence." -Goho-tekina Otoko final relevant quote: "Truth is always relative to the closed system it exists within. Existence is, in the strictest sense, a closed system. There are truths within existence that are true and there are truths within existence that are not true. Truth can only exist in a closed system and may or may not be true outside of that closed system, not therein. Truth is that which men and women convey through Voice and Word. One's offered truth may or may not be true. Truth and true are not the same word, and subsequently, truth and true are not the same thing. True is that which can be shown in words through at least one question and its exact answer. That which can be shown in words can subsequently be seen by all men and women. In the closed system of the Catholic Church of four hundred years ago, the truth was that our planet was the centre of a geocentric planetary system. Galileo posited that our planet was a part of a heliocentric solar system and spent the last years of his life under house arrest as a consequence of going against the truth of the Church. The Church has since changed its truth to the heliocentric solar system model." - Goho-tekina Otoko

I've used the analogy that "school is to the mind as the gymnasium is to the musculoskeletal system" when telling my kids to importance of education while trying to deemphasize the importance of school There are plenty of exercise regimens to develop the muscles, joints, and bones without going to the gym. Similarly, there are ways to cultivate the mind and gain knowledge without having to sit in a classroom per se. The problem is that too many people cannot fathom getting in shape without going to a gym. In the same way, many people cannot fathom getting an education without going to school.

Your premise is flawed and your plan belies a naivete that makes it unworkable in its present form. However, the thesis of a "free" and more efficient and optimal way to get folks educated stands and must ne undertaken. Information is only free to discover. Folks write books (not free) to share in libraries (not free) and others (ie teachers) impart that knowlege in myriad ways to help students learn (not free). All but the top 1% need help learning. Simply reading a book (even finding out which ones) is not adequate. Videos are tremendously effective because they can both tell like books, but also show. But contrary to your claims, not everything is on the internet. Even if it were, youwould never finish getting it all. Something like ,72 hours of video are uploaded to YT every hour. Its impossible to order, coallese, and digest all of that eithout guidance of someone with expertise and experience. Im persuaded it is possible to create a better model, bur i dont think its as easy as you think.

Lots of Multi millionaires in the comments. But no mention of their field of earning these millions. I got a degree in Engineering and then qualified as a CPA so I know education. It is hard to do something if you don't want to and being young all you really wanba do is have fun. Making decisions so early in life is hard and studying is very hard. Don't believe all the keyboard warriors here. Yes think of the job you want before you study. Problem is you have no idea of the job until you start it so it is a chicken and egg situation. That is why so many children follow their parents. Unfortunately HR (the cabal of mean evil left over women ) are in charge. So if they don't like you they show you the door with some BS reason. Use tge Internet and do aptitude tests. Find a job you are skilled in and pays well.

I'm glad this is my first Clarey book that I bought but I definitely need to do a thorough reading of the full book now. Excellent reading on the narrator's part🫡🥃

O...yeah. This is on point. Well done Aaron. I could see only trade schools still existing physically since a skill involving hands on training would still need to be acquired.
