You are correct. A water wheel does the same thing. It uses the water to spin the wheel then discharges back into the stream. A Ram Pump uses the power of the water then it returns it back to the stream.

Thanks for simple self explanatory video on Ram Pump.
@Sumansatya21
@Sumansatya21 5 жыл бұрын
Ram pumps have been around for many decades and are popular for two main reasons: 1.They need no external source of power -- the force of moving water gives them the power they need. 2.They are extremely simple, with just two moving parts. The basic idea behind a ram pump is simple. The pump uses the momentum of a relatively large amount of moving water to pump a relatively small amount of water uphill.

No confundir a quienes buscan aprender...

This free electric energy hydraulic dual Ram pump or hydram is a complete automatic device that uses the energy in the flowing water such as spring, stream or river to pump part of the water to a height above that of the source. With a continuous flow of water a hydram operates continuously with no external energy source.

How is this an improvement? I'm not trying to be a jerk. I'm sorry if it comes across that way. I like your ram pump, but don't understand what you're improving with this. The through put of the pipe doubles by having 2 in parallel, but you'd get more water through a single pipe with wider diameter than 2 identically sized pipes because the volumetric throughput is by a cubic exponential rate for each unit of diameter increase. The volumetric throughput of multiple same size pipes increase linearly for each new pipe added. Also the cost of double the number of brass check valves greatly increases pump cost.

As the pump is setup in an open space that water runs back to whatever so there is maybe no lost of water. Butt suppose, the pump is installed in a reservoir ( tank ) to work, and the water in that tank is the water that must be pumped away, can it work if the outlet of the brass valve is higher as we it is in this video?

Its a 1 to 7 ratio. For every 1 foot of drop (or head) that you have, you will be able to raise water around seven feet. Its generally used in creeks or rivers to transport water upwards or long distances. It depends on the size of the pump and how much water your thinking to move.

It's nice to see the construction of this pump, however kindly show us how u started the pump. , Do you need to squeeze the bottle to create pressure.

Nowadays water is costly than current , you can pump the water in 20mts /500liters of water with a mini motor pumpset without wasting a drop of water. it will only cost 3 to 5 rupees current charge to pump the water. Soon we may face severe water scarcity as 10℅ of the people only do rain water harvesting ground water has gone down to 200 ft. But have done is perfect.

I bought the same components and followed all steps from the video but it didn't work at all when tested. There must be some variables such as pressure, the size of the bottle, etc. that I assume I need to check in order to make it work but my recommendation is to try first the single bottle model, learn how water works and then build this one, specially if the PVC parts and the checker valves are expensive in your country (like mine).

You may have the check valves fixed in wrong direction........ While this is the most crucial factor in this arrangement, it has not been mentioned in this video.

A bomba deve ficar numa posição abaixo do nível da água? É isso? Então não serve para poço.

Não, não serve. Aqui no Brasil, conhecemos essa bomba pelo nome de "Carneiro Hidráulico". Pesquise sobre o funcionamento.
