Frosting: If you are using a glass top stove DO NOT USE VERY LOW HEAT, use medium heat, stir, stir, stir and be vigilant. Note that her can of Evaporated Milk is 12 fluid ounces while the standard Carnation brand is 14.5 fluid ounces so discard the extra 2.5 ounces or add another egg yolk and some extra coconut (about 2 ounces more). Also if your frosting is not thick enough even after it cools, return it to the stove top cook and stir for additional 8 to 10 minutes. The cake was wonderful however I think the Sour Cream is a better option than the Butter Milk.

!!! Greetings from Germany !!! At the beginning you let the chocolate melt in a little bit of water, use milk or cream instead of water, then the result will be creamier and taste a lot better than with water. This is how we do it in Germany... ...God bless you and best regards and all the best...!!!

So sorry. It's not clear for you! 💝 I have two different icing recipes, one with egg and one w/out egg 🥚. The one w/out egg is the one I am thinking you are speaking about.
