Oh my gosh, by far the easiest thing I've cooked that tastes amazing (I can burn salad). Only change was I used shredded leftover roast chicken from mid-week dinner and forgot to buy sesame oil when I went shopping (was not making a 2nd trip). Still tastes great but will try with oil next time. A small portion of this soup from my takeaway costs £4.50 ($8 approx), I made a whole pot for £3.27 ($6 approx). Thanks for posting the recipe.

Yay! So easy, right??!! And it is definitely less expensive to make a ton a home than it is to get it from a restaurant. I’m so glad it worked out for you!

You are so funny, I haven't made this in years and want to try your recipe today, don't have canned sweet corn so can I use frozen ( thawed) corn. Pls.pls. Reply soon 😀
@HOIAFoodAndCooking5 жыл бұрын
Hi! I'm sorry I didn't see this until today. Canned corn sits in some "juice" so perhaps if you defrost your corn on a stovetop or microwave with some water that might do the trick however it may not be just a flavorful as canned corn which you cream yourself since the corn hasn't been sitting in the water as long. Let me know how it turns out!!

Top recipe. I noticed chinese people have great skin and hair.Why is that? Is it genetics?Is it steamed veges and broths and stews? Warming foods for the spleen? Please tell me your secrets?breakfast ,lunch dinner?
@HOIAFoodAndCooking5 жыл бұрын
Thank you! I do think it is part genetics, but also the diet. Chinese people generally eat lots of vegetables and also many parts of the animal other than just the meat... perhaps it's the organ meats or the collagen from connective tissue. Green tea is an incredible antioxidant and often drank with the meal to help digestion. A good and healthy gut is important too! I like to intermittently fast and do extended fasts once a week. That's not "Chinese" per say but I do think it helps my detoxification organs to be at it's best and therefore it reflects in my skin and hair!
