For some unknown reasons I didn't know about this YT channel of yours. I knew you as a great producer, this video is just giving a lots of credits to you. @@MAXR_MTB I always (try) to do both! So it will be the plugin with the preset and then a duplicate underneath of the plugin layer will be the bounced out audio. This way if you have the plugin you can use it but if you don't you get the audio :)

I usually start writing with any kick, then once I find a key I want to write in I find a kick in that key. I usually will layer a kick or two up to get the sound that fits my track best :)

instead of M/S EQ to avoid low frequency stereo image couldn't you just use a monomaker set at 200hz ? Or is there an advantage with M/S EQ?

M/S eq just gives you more flexibility but they are basically the same if just rolling off :)
