@@rme1383I invested in a countertop dishwasher that has a tank so you just put a hose from the back of it to drain into your sink (no fancy hookups i promise) then fill up the tank and boom! (obvi add your dishwashing detergent in the little slot in the door before closing it) its relatively small so I can’t use it for my pots and pans, but things like a bread pan and mixing bowls would fit :))

Recipe for those who wanna screenshot: Ingredients: 2 cups AP or bread flour 1 tsp active dry yeast 1 tsp salt 1 tsp sugar 1 cup warm water (110-115 F) 1-2 tbsp olive oil to coat dough -- Instructions: - Mix water, sugar, and yeast in a bowl. Wait until the yeast has become foamy. - In a larger bowl, combine flour and salt, then add the yeast mixture. Mix until no dry spots remain and the dough is stretchy. - Cover dough with a towel or plastic wrap. Either let rest at room temp for 2 hours or put into a proofer at 90 F for 1 1/2 hours. Wait until dough is doubled in size. (May take longer if cold) - Fold the dough inside the bowl, taking your fingers or a rubber spatula along the edge and folding it to the center until dough has deflated considerably. - Take a loaf pan and grease and flour the surface. - Add oil to dough, fold in half, and transfer into loaf pan. - Let bread proof until it has reached the top of the loaf pan. (1 hour or more) - Bake at 375 F for 40 mins. - Let cool completely before cutting and enjoy!

Bread flour has more protein (King Arthur's is 12.7%) than all-purpose (11.7%), which helps develop the gluten in the bread and generally results in a better product. King Arthur's is particularly high with the protein, beating out a ton of other bread flours, which makes it a very good choice. Great job!

Heat 4 c cold water in a LARGE pyrex measuring cup in the microwave for at least 3-4 mins until bubbky. Let set, DOOR CLOSED for at least 5-7 mins. Use several clean dry paper towels to wipe thoroughly & dry. Viôla

@@andreaknisley154 Thank you for the kind words and prayers, they are appreciated. You've already figured out a very important thing - tell people you love them while you can. I didn't do it enough with my husband, and now I can't fix that problem. I have a small group of friends who have been with me through my roller-coaster year of hubby passing away, then I moved three months after that. They have been kind enough to call me at least once a week, usually twice, checking to see how I'm doing, do I need anything. Now when I see any of them I thank them for being there and how much their support has meant to me. It's a good habit to get into.

@@christinatakacs6791 aww. 🥺🥹. Well.. don't beat yourself up about it too bad tho.. about not showing as much affection as you'd of liked too. We are ALLLL guilty of letting life get in the way sometimes. It absolutely happens to everybody. And I learned my lesson early..In a..very bad way. See.. I wasn't always this way. I was a wild child...a partier. But then, my baby sister..she was murdered when she was 13. and I was 23. (Am 32 now. Yesss...I'm in an age Gap relationship 😂😂) So... that loss...that devastating, heartbreaking.. life altering loss... that's what taught me to love this way now. 🥺. One minute she was here..the next minute she was gone. I was young, and took life for granted..and when she died. It brought me to my knees. So. I promise you I get that part. We didn't fight or anything like that.. and we were very close.. but still. I felt...robbed. bereft. I was just young, you know? Wild. Pissed off at my mother for me being in foster care.(My sister and I were technically half sisters. But not in our hearts 💕 she wasnt in care like me. My holidays, vacations- were with my sis and her mom. Before fc and during. Not mine. ) so. That is why, I'm like this now. And it's unfortunate that we must learn these lessons in these kind of ways. *hugs* *hugs* *hugs* I'm sure your husband loved you, and wouldn't of wanted you to feel this way. Even if you were a little.. catty or something sometimes. 😂😂. Its just life!! We all have our moods and stuff. So. Idk.. I understand it..but just don't want you to tiptoe that line of "I wish I would've" ... because it's a slippery slope. And I'm very glad that you have friends who still call and check on you and stuff. They are really godsends in times like those. And you've figured it out too..that same lesson. And can apply it everyday with them!! ❤🫠. It's good to have people around you who knew the person you lost...because it's not just a stranger who didn't know you or him, or see you guys together. You know?? These people who help us thru our grief.. man are they amazing. ❤ But yeah... I feel for you tho. ❤. RIP to your hubby. And my sis.

You dont actually have to bloom the yeast, that step is just to make sure youre yeast isnt dead. If you bake/cycle through yeast regularly the chances of it being dead are slim. To answer the other guys question as well, salt does kill yeast in really large quantities- but the amount youre putting bread isnt significant enough to make any difference

Make sure you use any leftovers for amazing french toast the next day since homemade bread goes extremely hard and stale within 24 hours, but makes insanely amazing french toast. Also use bread flour it makes a huge difference, you also don't need to use "warm" water as long as it's not cold, you can also let it rise in the fridge overnight for even deeper flavor.

Me (an ancient Mayan) - Harvest the wheat or maize from last year's harvest - harvest the cereal stalks from the fields, and remove the outer chaff - Moistened and pounded the seeds with a pestle and mortar while being careful not to crush the inner grain - Take the winter off. - Make 1 ounce of flour from harvest after 300 hours of work - Add water to flour and mix for 3 moons - Lay dough in sun for 3 sun's - Use bread to make a human sacrifice sandwich. - Start the next harvest.

Thank you for buying Fleischmann's yeast! He not only developed the process for fast-acting yeast, but the founder of the company Charles Louis Fleischmann actually invented the bread-line. He noticed that transients (Who at that time were mostly Civil War veterans) were picking through his trash at night. Instead of trying to remove them, he fed them. For the rest of his life. I will always buy Fleischmann's yeast.

This is the best bread recipe video I have ever seen. You've made it look easy, satisfying, & rewarding, as it should be. Most videos make bread-making look like so much work. I'm going to try it your way. Plus you're presentation is respectful, pleasing, & you've cleverly created experiences for all 5 senses as well as a sense of humor. I'm going to search to see if you have a video that shows that making tortillas can be easy-peasy, too. I struggle to make really good tortillas.

For good results, use live yeast and much less of it. Let the dough proof for 12h instead of 1 and you'll have a nice bread. All the folding and sourdough stuff can be left aside. Thats for proper bread. If you just want toast, you don't need to make an artform out of it. Just play with yeast and water ratios until you get a bread YOU like

The bread looked good, but it needed to raise longer it was flat on top and wasn't as super soft as it should have been. I use a recipe that my grandmother used, and it raises up beautifully and has a nicer texture. Her recipe was from the Fleishmans recipe book from back in the 60s and 70s. I do love the smell of homemade bread as it permeates the house with great memories.

I don't have a proofer and I'm a bit more impatient. I found a trick earlier this year that was super helpful. If you have a crock pot you can fill it halfway with water. Flip the lid. Put a cloth down on top and then put your mixing bowl (covered) on top. Set it to low and the radiant heat will proof your dough.
