You simply get your marrachino (sp) cherries and you coat them in powdered sugar (confectioners sugar) until you dont see anymore red color. Do that in a bowl. Temper your chocolate of choise. Wear a plastic glove and coat your hand in the chocolate that is at about 85-86º and plop a cherry into your hand, coat it completely with chocolate and set on parchment paper to dry. Once all are coated and dried, coat them in chocolate a second time to seal up any leaking cherries. Leave overnight and the sugar is what will turn to liquid with the aid of the cherry juice.

Its Tiffany I've heard you can substitute baking powder for tartar because baking powder is just cream of tartar and baking soda mixed
