Sometimes when you buy the canned heart of palms it can be taste to sour and too brined. I heard soaking them in coconut milk beforehand can eliminate that.

I am truly impressed. I ate heart of palm in Mexico cooked very differently, but this way is also so creative and looks delicious. What a healthy and budget friendly way to satisfy a crab craving. I’m not vegan but I definitely want to try this 😋

As someone who is plant base I can tell you these hearts of palm do not taste like crab legs. I use these all the time they have a strange multi-texture they can be tough in some spots, woody like and mushy inside and most of the time the brine they are stored in is a bit sour so I always wash mine. The problem is they do not absorb flavors it probably taste better fried than this way she cooked them because of the texture. Also I see a lot of her recipes be missing one key ingredient that could have enhanced the flavor in this case it is smoked paprika. The red color on the imitation crab legs for better flavoring is smoked paprika sorry these don’t look appetizing to me as a crab leg substitute.

Then why don’t you create a vegan cooking channel and check all her mistakes then? Vegans know the substitute isn’t the same as the real thing. I’m plant based and I don’t even have a desire to even re-create crab meat with all the other stuff I can eat.😂 Calm down, it’s just a vegetable harvested from palm trees. If you don’t like them. Don’t eat them. Easy. Tabitha ain’t cooking that food for you anyway. That’s her business. 😂
