Quick and easy Vegan fried fish using hearts of palm!

Chance had a taste for fried fish tonight so I battered up some hearts of palm and used some @breakfastbelle Bamma Fish fry and I think he happy! Anybody need a hungry pre 20 year old at y’all house???? Honey @choycebrown bout to eat us out of house and home😂 #vegan #fishfry #foodie #tabithabrown

Tab I went vegan in January and made this tonight. Well my husband and son took this down like it was catfish and wants it again tomorrow. It was delicious though, so I'll be heading back to Trader Joe's for more cans.😋

I was scared to try this. I got a can of heart of palm months ago and let the can set in my cabinet. Finally made it. Delicious! I used some seaweed flacks in my breading and did the same for my wet batter. Yummy!!

How was the texture? Is it soggy on the inside after it was fried?

No, not at all to me. Just pressed some of the oil out with a paper towel. Texture was like a crab stick it was easy to pull apart. Also, I used regular fish fry.

...also ground chia seeds with a lil water can be used to dip the hearts of palm before the batter, to replace the egg. Makes it even more crispy!

I know we're not supposed to judge ourselves by other people, but I truly believe that if there are angels on Earth, Ms Tabitha is one of them. And if her teenage daughter dresses and pierces and aesthetic-s her way through life successfully as she does, then my fear that I have erroneously allowed my children to do the same is lessened. I worry that I'm allowing them too much freedom, but I don't believe for a second Ms Tabitha is guilty of the same, so it's really another balm to my soul that this woman has gifted me. I really think she is here to help people like me, who really feel the struggles of life, especially as a parent. That's the area where I harbour the most doubts in myself. Looks good! Sigh…I looked up the Bamma fish fry seasoned cornmeal and it has MSG (monosodium glutamate) in it, 👎🏽. Also for those who are soy sensitive like me, the Ari Seaweed product in the video has hydrolyzed soy protein.
