OK now I see. Thanks so much. That is much better than the CP method that requires freezing the goats milk then carefully adding the lye etc etc. I love the idea of this version much much better. Thanks again !

Awsome soaps Kim. How much time was there between mixing in the goats milk & then the addition of the superfats & herbs in the Lavender/Lemongrass soap? The timing thing gets confusing. I thought it was supposed to continue cooking for 30 mins after the addition of the super fats? Is it different because it's a goats milk soap? Do you sell at the Farmers Market year round?

This is a great video, I'll try this method tomorrow :-D When you cut the bars they look just like cold pressed soap, very smooth looking soap.

I love your videos. You mentioned about not putting shea or coco butter w/o melting it first. I never pre-melt my super fat butters, I don't want to cook out any of the benefits of them, and I never have a problem with them melting.
@EssentialSoap8 жыл бұрын
tom cir if I premelt it's due to the colorant I am using. I would have said why I was melting or I may have said you can melt. microwave on defrost or in a double boiler if safe

ohh, sorry my bad, it doesn't matter anyway I am hooked on all your videos, and it's your you tube tutorials that I have encouraged me to start soaping myself. I look everyday for more of them :)

Did I miss you adding the stearic acid? When did you add it? Also, the recipe with the lard, soybean and coconut oil, I plugged it in soapcalc and it was only like a 3% superfat. Is this right? What is your normal superfat percentage? Nice video btw!

Can I add the milk just before you add your super fats. To keep the property of the milk? Please add advice.
