This was the first soup we made with our new Vitamix blender and boy it was delicious. It doesn't make a lot without the ingredients but it's really rich.

Tommy Nicholas - Raw Blend. Any tricks to remove the foam from soup?
@RawBlendAustralia6 жыл бұрын
Once you have finished making the soup and it's blended completely you can blend it on a low speed so it folds out most of the bubbles. Try using less liquid too

Omg! I was thinking there is noway this could work. I just made this soup in my vitamix with 3 changes. I didn’t add rosemary because I didn’t have it and I don’t like it. I added half a cup milk and less cashews. Used spring onions instead of chives. I used a strainer to remove the foam and omg is it delicious! In fact I made a cream of mushroom soup referring to a very popular recipe last week sautéing and simmering for several minutes. This turned out to be better and I don’t understand how!! Pleasantly surprised. Thanks so much!

Tommy do you have any cold soups for summer, other than Gaspacho?
@RawBlendAustralia Жыл бұрын
Hey Deana, as long as the ingredients are safe to be eaten raw, you could blend the soup for 1-2 mins, similar to a green smoothie? The Vitamix heats using friction heat, and will get roughly 10ºC or I believe 50ºF hotter every minute :) I hope this helps!

I would probably recommend going half a stem of rosemary as it was quite overpowering and very earthy tasting, aside from that kudos.

Hi Tommy! I am a new owner of a Vitamix and have made your soup twice and LOVE it. I am trying to lose weight so wonder if the fat from the cashews may be an issue as nuts are high in fat. I am curious if this soup could be made with cashew milk in place of cashews and water? Cashew milk has only 2 grams of fat per cup. Thanks in advance for any advice with this.
@RawBlendAustralia6 жыл бұрын
You could certainly use Cashew Milk. It may not be as creamy though so you could always add some white beans or even blend some chia seeds with the cashew milk to make a thick pudding consistency and add that in. :) Happy Blending!
@jamesshirleyjohnson-brown88515 жыл бұрын
I love your videos I just wish for a nutritional information on each recipe For example the mushrooms are great but the cashew is adding extra 150 cal, and I think some replacements would have been better . Even cashew milk for example
@oompaloompa91395 жыл бұрын
James & Shirley Johnson-Brown Cashew milk is cashews blended with water. Which is what you are doing when you add cashews to your soup. You blend cashews and water with a few extra ingredients.
@RawBlendAustralia5 жыл бұрын
If you're not wanting the additional calories from the cashews you can just do what Claire does in the office and use white beans / cannellini beans. Thanks for watching and happy blending!
