Yes Mark. It's amazing how a vegetable soup such as this, can smell like there's meat, even thou there's none. Simply because there's such beautiful flavours and seasonings, such as every pot with or without meat. So it will always smell and taste amazing. Amen

Here is his recipe transcribed for you all - Boil a large pot of water with thyme and garlic for flavor. Lower the setting to medium. (Dumpling dough ready on the side, if desired) Prep the following: Turnip Carrots Corn on the Cob Squash or Pumpkin (both are cousins) Chop the pumpkin. Keep the skin. Peel the turnip, chop. Peel and chop the carrot. Add pumpkin, turnip, carrots, corn on the cob, and squash/pumpkin to the pot as the first ingredients. Turn heat to max. Prep the following, about 2 each: Yellow Yam Sweet Potato Co Co (white and purple, it seemed. similar to wild Taro?) Irish Potato Frozen Mixed Vegetable (Peas, Carrots, Corn) Prepare a large bowl of cold water. Peel potatoes, yellow yam, sweet potato, coco, Irish potato, and chop in half/as desired. Place in the large bowl of cold water as you go to avoid browning. Discard the cold water. Add yam, sweet potatoes, coco, Irish potato to the pot. Add 12 pimento seeds to the pot. Add formed dumplings to the pot. Next, add the frozen mixed vegetables. Add to the pot: 1 White onion ~3 scallions, scored and sliced ~16 thyme twigs 3 Garlic cloves, peeled 1 scotch bonnet pepper, seeds removed Stir. Cover with lid, turn to medium, bring to a boil. Add 1.5 vegetable bouillon cubes, crumbled. Add 1.5 cans of coconut milk, organic is preferred. Add: ~1 teaspoon Black pepper ~1 teaspoon Garlic powder Maggi All-purpose seasoning packet 1.5 T Flavor Rice Stir and add lid, and allow to cook for about 20 minutes. Add the Grace Pumpkin Beef Soup mix.(That’s what I saw listed in the video 🤷🏾♀️. Grace Foods has a beef-free option as well, maybe this one was the preference for his family. ) Don’t close lid completely. Cook for 20 more minutes and stir throughout. Note: Seasoning salt was suggested as an ingredient, but I did not catch where it was added. (I haven’t cooked this yet. Definitely will as my family loves soups!) with love. from USA 🏝🇺🇸
@shaunmaclean33603 жыл бұрын
Why add Grace Pumpkin Beef Soup mix if the soup is ITAL VEGGIE SOUP..ITAL IS VITAL WHEN YOU ADD NO SALT AND YOU CAAN ADD BEEF SOUP MIX AND CALL IT VEGGIE SOUP.
@WhenRavenChats3 жыл бұрын
@@shaunmaclean3360 Hi, true and frankly, who knows; this is not my recipe. That is what packet was displayed in the video. I transcribed it because I am interested in vegetarian-based soups. I looked online at gracefoods.com, and there is a beef-free option. Perhaps Deddy’s family prefers the beef flavor and used that packet instead. I haven’t seen the ingredients of the packet he used. Maybe it is an artificial beef flavor? Maybe they are calling it vegetarian simply because no meat was used? Usually for a vegetarian classification (at least in the USA) it is zero flesh; however, a flavoring is used, e.g. a vegan eating butter, or other animal by products, is a vegetarian - and other lifestyle anomalies that don’t quite add up. Either way, I am sure everyone has their own version and adaptations of this lovely recipe. 🤩🥰 I am so excited to cook this myself. 🥳 let me how if it turns out for you 👩🏾🍳

I agree with Deddy. Yes let us learn the hard way. Everything is not easy. I'm from St. Kitts and it's true. We in the Caribbean learn hard way also. I'm living in the United States and I'm glad that we learn hard way and soft way. Look at some of these Americans when the Covid was really bad and some people couldn't take the indoors saying it was stressful and they were bored. I was not because I was taught to cope with bad and good life. There was so many things that one could have done while we were onlockdown. So Deddy is right we can cope and learn that whenever things like this happen is for our own good to cope.learn to cope, when is for our own good. We call Coco edioes. We say Turnip also and yes we know Squash, and carrots.
