No the cakes are already moist and your going to add more moisture to it when you soak it in the wine/rum mixture

I went to Kingston when I was 17 years old . I was with my friend who her father was from Jamaïca. It was Christmas at that time. We ate a Christmas cake that takes 6 months to make with a lot of fruits and alcohol. I really want to have the recipe because the cake was so delicious ! Lots of unnecessary steps, should have blend the rum in with the fruits amoung others. Also missing some steps.
