Can you reuse the homemade kefir after each batch? Or do you need to buy new kefir and use that everytime?

Hi do you use the milk and kefia straight out of the fridge and you don't need to heat at all?
@mishapalmer6 ай бұрын
Yes, straight from the fridge and no need to heat anything. It's that simple 😊

Sorry to bother you again is ok to drink it when it fizzy?
@tijanahajdari82234 ай бұрын
Yes, as long as it has a good taste. The more it ferments, the fizzier it will be. U can adjust the fizzyness to your own taste

Very interesting!! But is the kefir you make without grains (Kefir from the store), as healthy and nutritious, as the kefir make from milk-kefir-grains? I think among other things, on the probiotic properties, vitamins eg!
@mishapalmer3 ай бұрын
@evasj as long as you buy a good quality kefir with no additives, then it should be the same as the one made from kefir grains

@@mishapalmer Thank you. It will be so much easier with no grains! 🤗🥰

@@mishapalmer I believe that you are incorrect here - kefir grains are a symbiotic combination of bacteria and yeasts - this can survive the stomach acids and thus change the intestinal flora. Kefir from the store only contains the bacterial component - Lactobacillus, Bifidus, etc - which do not survive the stomach acids, and thus do not effect the intestinal flora.

Do you have to use a sealed bottle or can you use any glass jar without a lid?
@mishapalmer7 күн бұрын
@gwilkins4617 it doesn't have to be a sealed bottle, but I would recommend having at least a cloth with rubber band around the top

Hiya sorry to bother you again my kefia has gone a little fizzy is that ok?
@mishapalmer6 ай бұрын
Hey, no worries at all! It's fine, it is just part of the fermentation process. As long as it is thick consistency, tasting like kefir (sour), it's ready to drink or transfer it to the fridge 😊
@sdpyne19776 ай бұрын
@yournatureshaker I have transferred it to the fridge it is very thick and slight fizzyness
@sdpyne19776 ай бұрын
Also, how long will it last for ?
@mishapalmer6 ай бұрын
@@sdpyne1977 I would say up to 2 weeks, but the official guidelines are about 7-10 days.
