@@FutureNeighbor That really does look good. I was hoping for a little MSG in that version! I guess when I do it I'll try to get out the good soy sauce that's forgotten in the refrigerator, at least. I've had the spicy version in a very few restaurants, but never seen the soy sauce flavor at all.

@@djdoc06 What? NO MSG? NO Miwon? Help me, Uncle Roger! That doesn't make any SENSE! Actually the problem is that I've been eating instant noodles and other MSG intensive foods for a few generations now and I'm used to it. If it's missing I notice it and feel disappointed, something like if you ate food with no salt in it, or decaf coffee or tea. I'm just USED to being poisoned, maybe! When I was a student (1970s) I had a Japanese roomate who had an MSG SHAKER! All his American friends were scandalized. Now I have one!

AAaaaah, she's nothing but trouble! Kicking poor Daniel out of the kitchen, giving him the "boring" dish.... MEANWHILE today I went to a little Korean restaurant (in another town!) just to get this dish basically and they said "we don't have it today", which was a little confusing. SO it looks like I'm on my own! I'm in FLorida and soon it will get hot and STAY hot, so I might as well be able to make some cold noodles myself!

This was SO good! I had a similar dish a few days ago and knew I needed to make this at home.
