I've worked with live-edge wood, too, from nearby land that cleared cherry trees, and it's a real pleasure. Totally my first time here, drawn in by the DIY art. BUT…… a few seconds in and I a captivated by that angel in your window. So magnetic!!! If he/ she were my baby I would be doing a very large canvas photo on the wall of that sweetie . She / he is living art. I have coparented at total of 14 dogs. Mom of 4 of them at the moment. Some of the bark was flaking and the instruction said to sand down as much as you like. We just wanted the bark to show through but just took off the fresh bark that was falling off. ❤️🙏🎨

Love the painting and the table. You might want to put at least another top coat on the table if you are going to use it regularly. What kind of wood is it? Up front you said maple then later you said birch. I'm thinking it's birch.

Hi Diane, Give it try it so easy to second guess your skills with comparing to others give it a try. Like I said if you dont like it just paint over it again. Abstract art has no rules!! ❤️🙏🎨

The outcome looks lovely, the table and the paint. The only thing I would have done differently I would have opted for the white to paint the frame of the abstract as I believe it would have enhanced the space and the overall effect yo also match the candles❤
