Beautiful details! I have a ranch style home, and love wainscoting. But I don’t know where it should stop and start. Our dining room is open to the living room and two hallways. The dining room has a chair rail that the builders put in. It looks like they didn’t know where to stop and start, so they gave up.

Hi Dawn! Good question, honestly its a matter of choice and flow, you can define the rooms by the wainscoting. For example for your open dining room use the wainscoting just there and then maybe pick up it the hallway so that its not a surprise when people enter into the dining room. We had to think about that as well for this project and we figured its a matter of adding elements into other rooms so that it ties it in subtly❤️🙏🎨

Hi it’s a matter of preference for number of squares. We just measured the wall space and calculated that we wanted a 5 inch depth from the baseboards and used that to subtract from the number of squares we made. 🎨🙏❤️

Fantastic job! Love the way the trim looks. Just adds so much. The large prints are too ornate. The prints looks old and faded. I think the frames would look great empty, or used in conjunction with other smaller framed prints inside of them.

@@TheReclaimedHeirloom I also have a shihtsu/poodle mix. The stubborn and feisty shihtsu in her is more dominant. This poodle pup is the most entertaining dog I have ever had. Why do they want to kiss the face? My pup does and I saw that with Ryan today.

You gave this space so much personality with the addition of the trim and it turned out fabulous 🎉 quick question…did you consider also doing a cove mounding at the top of the wall or did you feel that would be overkill in this smaller area? I know you bought a more contemporary design and sometimes too much trim takes away from the overall aesthetic. Thank you for your inspiration 😊
