am I tripping or the ride section came out of nowhere?

I dont know if this is just me but I feel like a few steps were skipped. The way to filter the hats was also not shown

Hi Sarra, thanks for your feedback. You’re not tripping, I guess I was a bit too agressive with the editing. It was my first tutorial, I have got better at it since then 😅 To filter the hihats just place an EQ eight on the track and choose the high pass filter, thats the one that removes the bass. Because hats are such a high pitched sound you can remove all the lower mids too, maybe everything below 1khz. Thanks for watching 😃
