I made the move to the IN8 couple of weeks ago wooohhhh so amazing 🤘🤘 love the definition and the extra bass!! I flipped them horizontally which brought some extra depth but doesn’t necessarily works in every rooms.. Curious about the IN5 combo with sub and also wondering if the sub would add a lot to the IN8 or maybe it’s unnecessary 😂
@djgraish16 күн бұрын
Yes Julien! IN8 gang! I would try them on their sides but my desk is too small! In the future I’ll move to a proper studio and try it out. What monitors did you have before? The bass on these is deep and controlled but not over the top. I think if a sub was set up properly it would help them go down to 25 or 30hz which could be helpful to check the rumble in your mix.
@DJ-Ventrilok16 күн бұрын
@ yeah totally agree about the well balanced sound. I’m coming from a pair of Eve205 + 7inch sub.. I wasn’t hearing much bass before tbh. Eve was clear but very different sound now. The Kali for producing are 👌 but I think it will be a learning curve for DJ-ing.. It wasn’t love at first sight but maybe I was a little too close, currently reshuffling the studio (again 🤣)

I've owned Yamaha and JBL studio monitors, before settling on Presonus Eris 5 XT's. The bass range goes down to 48 Hz and the mid range is crystal clear! To me, they are outstanding!
@djgraish17 күн бұрын
I’m glad to hear you’re happy with them. They seem like a solid choice! Presonus also do an 8 inch sub that pairs well with the Eris 5, if you ever want to extend the low in in the future 🤓
@sankarkdk362918 күн бұрын
hi, i m planning to upgrade my studio with monitors IN8 in a 5.1 setup room, currently using entry level monitors. I am basically a sound effects editor for films and webseries. Planned to set IN 8 monitors in the LCR. Rear i have JBL 305. My question is will Kali is best suitable for Sound design and sound effects editing?? i m confused and still can not take solid decision as most of the sound designers are using high end JBL and neumann monitors that i cant afford. Please suggest
@djgraish18 күн бұрын
I completely get you, some of the higher end options have eye-watering prices! I did a lot of research on studio monitors under 1000 dollars a pair and my conclusion was; the Yamahas are too bright, the Adam T series were muddy with hyped low end, The Kali’s were just right, enough bass but not too much, same with the top end. As I mentioned in the video, the 3 way design lets you really hear the mids clearly. I think they’d be great for sound design! Maybe you could order from a place with easy returns so you can try them out!

@@djgraish Also budget friendly as I am just starting in the jungle/DnB game (or trying to make something musically in general I should say!) And indeed it is great for clips but also for doodling around with VST and chords in arrangement mode.

@@djgraish it worked perfect. I have been trying to do this for year! I guess it does not make sense to save the drum rack unless I work in the same tempo all the time?
@djgraish29 күн бұрын
Amazing, I’m so glad I could help you on your way to making Jungle on the Push! BTW if you followed the step where I pressed “warp as 2 bars” before slicing, I think the slices will all be individually warped too so you could reuse that drum rack at a different tempo
@HumanSynthetics29 күн бұрын
Nice one Graish! Enjoyed see the workflow kept entirely away from the box, especially using the step sequencer with the Amen. I bought the Push 1 when it first came out - even with that early version I loved keeping things away from the computer. Big up!

@djgraish2 ай бұрын
Yeah, that sounds like a great video idea! In the meantime here are some ideas: • Take a vocal snippet from a movie or TV show. • Work with a singer or rapper • Make an acapella by extracting the vocal using an online AI tool. Hope that helps!
